Happy Easter

Hello friends! Hope you all are having a great day!
Today I am sharing a super cute card, perfect for Easter!!
Isn't this bunny so adorably cute?!

This project was super easy and fun to make. First, I started stamping the Little Bunny on a piece of watercolor paper in Spiced Chai Ink, then I watercolored the background and die-cut the piece.
Then, I stamped the Gingham background piece on a piece of watercolor paper in Versamark Watermark and white embossing powder. After that I used Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks to color the background, then die-cut the piece. Stamped the Happy Easter sentiment on a piece of vellum.
Added the panel to a white card base, embellished with a red bow.

I used the fun sketch from this month's challenge, you can find the details here

And remember you can get these and more stamps with a 10% off using my discount code  TJ10Giovana

You are Capable of More Than You Know

I thought it would be fun to create some hybrid cards using the fabulous new sentiments from Wisdom of Oz (set of 7 stamps).

Remember, if you go shopping, use my discount code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off your purchase.

I searched online for some of the more common photographs (used repeatedly on multiple pages) for my cards.

For the beautiful good witch, I pulled the pink and blue from the photo and accented with some iridescent sequins.

For Dorothy's red shoes, I had to pull out some red sequin accents.

For my third card, I embossed some green paper to pull out the pattern in the image.

I love all of these quotes in this set and the encouragement they give.

How to construct a mixed media project

Hello fellow stampers.  Beth Norman here with some mixed media.  I had a ton of fun making this as it is far from my norm.  I dabbled in mixed media when I spent years working on altered books.  Boy, was that fun!  On any of these stamps, or any other stamps and supplies you can use my code TJ10Beth to receive 10% off your order.  Have you seen the new Color Bursts by Ken Oliver?  You can get them at 10% off as well.  Go wild with your mixed media!

Stamps:  Love Harlequin, Big Flourish, Paint Rings, Be Silly, Rose Doodles
Stencil:  A Colorful Life Stencils

Start by stamping on white tissue paper.  On my tissue I used Love Harlequin and Big Flourish.
Use Modge Podge to adhere your tissue paper to your cardstock.  Place Modge Podge on the cardstock to prevent the ink from bleeding.
Colour entire surface with Gelatos.
Burnish Gelatos with your finger.
Optional:  Place a stencil over any open area and spritz with water.  This will leave a pattern.  I ended up taping my stencil down which is not shown in this photo.
I got some water on my tissue, so I tore pages from a book to cover up the smudging.
Take a stencil and paint light layers of colour using paint over top of your stencil.
Next, I added Paint Rings background stamp to my piece

Finish as desired.

This month's challenge is a sketch!

Feel free to flip the sketch, create layers with stamps, or textures.

Here is my card using She is Fierce and Flower Doodles
I used Color Burst to make my background on watercolor paper and stamped the Flower Doodles
background  on top in black in with my MISTI. Because the paper is textured the MISTI works wonderfully
to get a nice solid image because you can stamp as many times as it takes to get good coverage.

Atomic Love

Hello Everyone!
Did you spring forward last night?  I don't know about you, but I am pretty excited about getting that extra hour of daylight in the evening!
Despite springing forward, it still feels like winter here in St Louis.  With our more recent cold snap, I have been crafting, crafting, crafting!  This brand new 'Perfect Atoms' Stamp is so fun!  It really lends itself to bright, vibrant colors!  If you haven't picked up your new release goodies yet, you can shop and get this fabulous image-well, your entire order- for 10% off with code TJ10LeeAnn.

Most of the card is done with Copics.  The image is colored with Copics and the poppy red strips of paper are actually Copic colored and texturized with burlap and alcohol.
But, I have gotten ahead of myself.  I started by masking off the frame of the image.  You probably don't even notice that a word is missing from the sentiment as well.  I masked off the word 'You' so that I could use my large 'You' die cut.  The die cut is 3 layers glued together and the top layer is sparkly with Wink of Stella.

That's it for me; I hope I have inspired you to craft, craft, craft!

Thanks for visiting!

Advise from a Dog

Hello Junkies!
It's Ceal, back to share with you a card using one of our new releases Advise From a Dog.
You can save 10% off on this stamp and your entire order at Technique Junkies by using code TJ10Ceal
I am a dog person, any other dog peeps out there? My husband and daughters are highly allergic to cats so we became dog people. We have a little Shih Tzu named Willis and he is definitely spoiled now that we are empty nesters.  I can hear Willis giving this advise especially love unconditionally, just think how peaceful the world would be if we loved people for who they are.

To make my card I started with a top folding Crumb Cake base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I used a paw print stencil and one distress ink for the background. After I fished the background, I used the Mini Misti to stamp the image and colored it with Copic Markers.
I have included my code for you to save 10% down at the bottom of this post.
