Shimmering Bliss Lighthouses

I used Lighthouses and sprayed them with two shades of  Shimmering Bliss - Ocean Depth and Mindaro.    The verse is from Lighthouse Sentiments.   I heated embossed with detail black embossing powder so the images and words would really stand out.  The heat embossed powder also resisted the sprays and it would wipe off.

Perhaps you love all of the stamps in July release and you "gotta have them all"  and you get a great savings!

Lost Without You

Good morning!  It's Holly posting, and I'm back to share a distressed collage-style card with y'all today.  I had been playing around with some watercolor inks and there was some ink left over on my craft mat.  Instead of wiping it off with a paper towel and tossing it, I smooshed some white cardstock all over it until most of the ink was on the paper.  I set it aside to dry and this gorgeous background is what I got.

I inked up the new Butterfly Flourish Collage stamp from Technique Junkies with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and stamped it right onto that smooshed ink background.  This distress oxide ink dries a bit lighter than what you see with the regular distress inks.  So when this background was completely dry, it looked perfect with that distress-y background.  Instead of a dark bold black, it's more like a faded black or dark grey color over those blues and grays and pops of red.  It's just stunning with a vintage, distress, collage-style stamp.  I used the same Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to stamp the sentiment from the Lighthouse Sentiments set.
You can get this Black Soot Distress Oxide ink from Technique Junkies along with the stamps I've used here for a one-stop shopping trip.  Be sure to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% off your order.  Enjoy your day!

Vibrant Butterfly Flourish Backgrounds

Hello, Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter, here to share several cards that I created with a stamp from the July 2021 Technique Junkies new release. I used the Butterfly Flourish Collage stamp from the July 2021 release to make these cards. I also used the Dream, Hope, Wish Wonderset of four sentiment stamps in the card below.

I created a YouTube video explaining how to create these vibrant backgrounds:
This video provides several additional examples of cards. I created 11 cards in total.

My rainbow colored backgrounds were ink blended using Catherine Pooler inks and domed foam blender tools. The other backgrounds were created with by ink smooshing with re-inkers from Catherine Pooler. The celebrate dies were from my stash.  I sprayed Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Spray from Technique Junkies on the backgrounds to create an iridescent shine on top of the ink.

My final two cards for this blog post use sentiment stamps that were previously released. The sentiment on the card on the left is called "Always Hope"  https://techniquejunkies.com/always-hope/  and the sentiment on the right is from the Love, Faith and Peace Set of 12.  This sentiment says "Hope makes our lives a little brighter" I used watercolor paper, Catherin Pooler re-inkers and plastic wrap to create these Ombre yellow and orange backgrounds.

All the new July 2021 stamps are available here:

Let Go

Hi stampers!  I hope your summer is going well.  It's crazy here in Ontario, Canada; temperatures are cool most of the time and cloudy with rain every other day.   There is no better excuse than the weather to get time in the stamp room.

As many of you may have noticed, I love using pencil crayons to colour.  Last week I showed my watercoloured version of  on my blog.  I love how the Accept What is card turned out.  It is embossed in gold and coloured in with Prismacolour coloured pencil.

Great hair gor a great mindset!

When I was a teen, I changed my hair every 3 - 6 months - even then I knew that hair was the key to feeling great! I love great hair on me and on everyone else...it makes us, us. Life is too short for boring hair! You can find this stamp here:
