Bah Humbug

Hi folks!  I hope you all had a nice Christmas, contrary to what you may think looking at this card.  DH always jokes he is a scrooge at Christmas and often uses "Bah Humbug" so what would be more fitting for 8 of his co-workers at Christmas time than Bah Humbug. LOL.  That's ok though, because I sweetened things up by baking individual mini rum cakes which were handed out with these cards.  Last year he passed out store bought cards and his co-workers were asking where the handmade ones were.

I made over 60 Christmas cards this year, and I'll aim for 60 again this year.  Yes, I'm already working on Christmas cards for December.  Crazy?  Not when one is a "planner."  I'm someone who needs to plan everything out.  Springing surprises makes me become discombobulated.  Just ask DH.

As always, you can get 10% off your order by using my code TJ10Beth.  Thank you for your support.

Card Deets

  1.  Cut green cardstock at 4" x 5 1/4"
  2.  Using a dark green ink, ink up the edges over the green cardstock.  Soften the corners by inking colour more in a round shape as you can see in this photo.
  3.  Let dry completely to prevent embossing powder from sticking.  I air dried overnight, but you can use a heat gun.
  4.  Cover entire surface with an embossing buddy.
  5.  Using VersaMark, stamp over your Delicate Snowflake stamp.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder.  Heat set.
  6.  Stamp out Bah Humbug out and colour.
  7.  Die cut Bah Humbug image with a circular die.
  8.  Adhere image to background, using pop dots for added dimension.
  9.  Adhere green cardstock to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white card.

Split Panel Poinsettia Card

Each panel is the same size - 1 3/4 inches by 5 inches and layered on a slightly larger red panel.  The poinsettia petals are cut from the same die and staggered as they were adhered.  The verse is from Light of Faith, Set of 4.

All is Calm

 Hello Friends!

I'm up here today, on the Technique Junkies blog to share a pretty card, using some awesome stamps from Technique Junkies.

Here's what I made:

I used Snow Covered PinesAll is Calm, and Snowman to create this card. First, the trees were stamped onto a white panel, using a dark blue ink. Then, I used a glue pen and some irridescent glitter to give the trees some winter snow. The snowman was stamped, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut, and popped up in front of the trees. I added a bit of white 'fluff' from my stash to his hat and pom pom. The sentiment was stamped in blue on a white scrap, and adhered to the top left corner of the card, and also on the envelope for fun.

So glad you stopped by today!

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on your orders by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

Be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and do a little crafty shopping!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Warmest Wishes

Happy Hump day!!! We are approaching the final countdown and I am finding myself making more and more cards to send this year.
I am continuing on my watercolor journey and the only thing stamped is the Warmest Wishes sentiment.
For the ornaments, I drew circles very faintly on watercolor paper and then set about painting the background first......it's kind of a grayish purple.

Remember to relax and enjoy this Christmas!

Musical Poinsettia

There are no new Technique Junkies for December, but look for new stamps on January 1, 2022.   However, I will be posting at least twice a week in December.   And if I have used Technique Junkies stamps or items, I will let you know.

😀And this is a spectacular announcement from Technique Junkies.  There is an ANNUAL INVENTORY CLEARANCE SALE going on now!  Look here for all the details and which stamps are on sale.  Perhaps some of your favorites will be among the stamps and other items on sale.   ðŸ˜ƒ

I  used several different dies for this card.  For the poinsettia, I first stamped Vintage Music on Vellum with Versamark and heat embossed white embossing powder.  After it had cooled a few minutes I die cut the poinsettia petals and leaves. I also used a dark green vellum for the larger leaves under the white petals.   I used Prills for the center.  I dry embossed the white frame after it was die cut.  If you emboss it first, and then die cut it, the embossed areas will flatten.  I had some organdy  poinsettia petals in my stash, and I used one of those in the stack of petals.  I also used Retro Merry Christmas for the greeting.  I stamped it in Versamark black, and heat embossed in clear embossing powder.

Any Technique Junkies purchase, not already on sale, will be able to have 10% off when you use TJ10Judy in the coupon box when you check out!   However, you CAN use TJ10Judy to get a 10% reduction even on the Inventory Reduction items on sale!!

I hope you have  a wonderful Christmas season!  Be sure to get inky during this season!

Birthday Donuts

Good morning, Junkies!  It's Holly posting today.  After focusing on Christmas cards for the last few months, I am now turning my attention toward birthday cards.  I want to make my cards for the year ahead because I am terrible at mailing them out!  Let's see if this helps - cross your fingers!

On this card, I went super simple.  It's just a white card folded in half, and I stamped this fun Birthdays and Donuts image from Technique Junkies with black ink.  After the ink dried, I colored the donuts with Luminance colored pencils and went over the sprinkles and glaze squiggles with a white gel pen.  That sentiment just cracks me up.  LOL

Want to add this stamp to your stash?  Use this code, TJ10Holly, and you will get 10% off your order at Technique Junkies.  Grab this Birthdays and Donuts stamp, check out the new Catherine Pooler ink pads, and pick out a few gorgeous Shimmering Bliss sprays.  Happy shopping!

Retro Merry Christmas

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I hope this day finds you relaxed and enjoying the holiday season. I have been working on my watercoloring and this Retro Merry Christmas sentiment was with TJ's latest release. Super simple card to create. I layered a red panel with an embossed leaves folder, some splatters and some bakery twine to finish it off. This is a small slimline card and they DO NOT cost extra to mail!
