Things in the Garden

Pam here...sharing two fabulous stamps from the month of April. The first card showcases Born to Garden and my second card, In the Meadow.

My first creation I used Distressed oxides with a floral stencil and then hi-lighted a bit of the greenery with  matching markers.

This card I stamped the In the Meadow in black and then used liquid pearls to accent the flowers. Added a floral embossed green layer and will add a sentiment when I know what I want it for!

Sarcasm? Profanity?

This stamp is so me...Did you know that women who use profanity are more intelligent (I will keep repeating that to make myself feel better...) I used the woman from the Decaf Coffee stamp and the ACLD Grunge Dots stencil with the Three Languages stamp to make my card.

Ocean Kisses with Video Tutorial

Hello Junkies!

This is my first post on the Technique Junkies Blog.  I'm a new member of the Design Team and will be posting regularly.  I'm an avid stamper and teach/run a regular card class.  My favorite tool in my craft room are my copics, but I love experimenting with new products.  I hope you will pop by my blog  (www.purplelakestamps.com) and my youtube (Purple Lake Stamps) and say hello.   I can't wait to chat and get to know all of you!!

Next week we will be showing you all the new stamps from the May release.  This card has been bouncing around in my head for a while.  I wanted to see if I could make a realistic looking beach.   The best news is that it took less than 15 minutes to make!   You can check out the video here

I'm Here for You!

I cut the verse and the dog apart  from Ruff Life.   That way  I could stamp each part as I might wish to do.  And I did.  I stamped the dog three times and die cut three circles and then three scalloped frames.  I used Copic markers and colored only one dog.  Then the verse was stamped and framed it with black cardstock.  I scored and folded  wood grained card stock in half.   Small flat self sticky brad tops were used as the embellishments.

If after looking at the new April Release stamps,   you decide you just have to get them at such a tremendous savings  -  just click on the "Gotta Have Them All" link and you will get a WOW discount!!

And now if there are stamps and supplies you want of need besides things already on sale -- you can get another 10% of by using the code TJ10Judy.

Distressed Boho She Believed

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  Here's a colorful card to gaze upon while you drink your coffee (or tea or water).  I stamped the wonderfully versatile Boho Dots Background from Technique Junkies onto some white cardstock.  Then I pulled out some Colorful Blending Brushes and some yellow, blue, and pink ink pads and applied color to the stamped background.  Look closely and you'll see where some of the ink color lifted - that's where I flung some water over the card with my fingers.  This Boho Dots Background is perfect for distressed techniques like this.

The sentiment, She Believed She Could, was stamped with black ink and matted with some black cardstock.  I really didn't want to cover up the colorful background so I kept this card very simple.

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You will find lots of wonderful stamps and stencils and inks and Shimmering Bliss in the store so have fun shopping!

Born to Garden...

For the consummate gardener, there is nothing like sticking your fingers into the dirt! Our Born to Garden stamp celebrates that, and is perfect with the Garden Tools set as a background. I used Kaisercraft Glitter Pens to outline the words.

Let's hear it for the dirt!

TJ Inkspiration: Ask a Woman Stenciled Card

So Saucy!
Today I have a very quick video and a little baby kit to make the saucy card above (FYI - my husband called it "saucy!). The video is only two minutes and it is well worth the time!

And yes, our superpowers, as women, are being women. Now THAT is Saucy!

All of the pieces, parts and kits may be found HERE.
