TJ Inkspiration: Glittery Sea Frame

 

Faux Glitter Markers? The Nuvo Glitter Markers were discontinued by the company and I miss them terribly! BUT - I have a great way for you to use your markers on hand to create "Faux" Glitter Markers that are gorgeous and easy to use (and using what you have is always a bonus!). Today I have a 5 minute tutorial to show you just that. I created a little kit for you so you can save a little money on the pieces and parts, if you are interested. I also placed a few extra stamps into the category that I feel work great with the Sea Frame in case you want more choices with what to use with the frame. All of the pieces, parts and kit may be found HERE. Sunset Sentiments

Hello, friends!

Today, I am sharing three cards that I created using some new stamps from the June Release. I hope you like them! This is such a beautiful release.

Here's my first card:

Wow! What a beautiful wave. This card features Big Wave, and Sunset Sentiments. The wave was inked with some pretty Distress Oxide Ink, some blending toward the top with an Ink Blending Brush and a beautiful sentiment finished this card nicely.

And here's card number two:

This card features Pier Sunset, and Sunset Sentiments. The focal image was colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment was stamped with black ink, and Dolphin Cove Shimmering Bliss was spritzed on to finish the panel. The panel was backed with some silver metallic cardstock (which didn't photograph well), and adhered to a black card base. Another easy, pretty card.

God Bless the USA

Pam here today sharing our new Statue of Liberty and God Bless the USA stamps. I used a turquoise ink to stamp lady Liberty and then cut a mask to cover her and sponge around her. I cut the sentiment apart to get it to fit as I wanted and it is up on dimensionals and stamped in navy.

I have always been so fascinated with this iconic part of who we are as Americans and have yet to see it in real life! I will get there someday!

I have another ocean card for you from the Technique Junkies June stamp release.    I stamped Deep Sea  Collage with white pigment ink on both the card and the bookmark with white pigment ink.  Then I covered it with detail white embossing powder and heat set.    After applying various blue shades of Distress Oxide inks with blending brushes, I stamped Ocean Soul with black Versafine ink.   I then covered the ink with detail clear embossing powder and heat set.  I used various blue ribbons from my stash of ribbons.  Do you have a huge stash of ribbons?  Many of us do.

Lessons from the Ocean

  Hello Junkies!

I'm in love with these shimming bliss sprays that I picked up at Akron convention.  The photos don't do these justice.  They a silver sparkle to them.  I tried to take a photo at an angle to capture the sparkle.  It shows it a little better.   I used a white gel pen to add some bubbles and make a frame around the center panel.

Can you see the sparkle?

While I had the stamps out I thought I'd look through my stash of backgrounds.  I found this shaving cream background that I had left over.  I thought it looked like water.  I love the way the Sea Floor background looked stamped on it.  To help focus the attention on the sentiment I used a Hero Arts fish tank die on top.  I added dimensional foam to parts of the frame to give this card a 3D look.  

I'd love to know what background do you like better?
