Red, White, and Blue Happy July 4th For You!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday.
Will you be going to a July 4th BBQ or party?
Plan on bringing something with you for the host(s)?  Wine, dessert, a side dish?
Then this "Red, White, and Blue For You" card might be just the thing to add to whatever you are bringing.

It's so easy and fast to make.  You can get 3 cards with this technique.

  • Using the Wave Form Cover Die from Altenew, I cut 3 pieces of red, white, and blue glitter fun foam.  You can also use cardstock, textured cardstock, or glitter cardstock.
  • I cut a piece of black cardstock 4.5" x 5.5" and, alternating with the colors on each piece, I adhered them to the black cardstock using wet glue.  Blue, then the red, then the white...until the whole card front has been covered - and I set it aside for the glue to fully dry.
  • Once fully dry, I die-cut it using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the front of a top-folding A2 card.
  • I stamped Circle - For You on white cardstock, die-cut it with a circle die, layered it on a piece of white glitter fun foam that I had die-cut using the next circle die up in size, and adhered it to the card front.

  • And, if you live in the USA or made a card in the USA, you can stamp Made in the USA on the back of your card and color it with a red and blue marker.  This is such a great signature stamp for the cards you make.

Star and Flourish Birthday | Birthday Card | 4th of July Shaker Card

Happy Saturday, everyone.

I know...it's February...it's cold...it's snowy but, before you know it, it will be summer, picnics, and July 4th festivities at the beach.

When I first saw the Star and Flourish Birthday stamp, I immediately thought of America's birthday and knew I had to make this for someone I know who has a birthday on July 4th.  But this idea would also be great as an invite to any July 4th party or picnic and can also be changed up for anyone's birthday by using birthday-themed paper.

  • I made my card base using blue cardstock, 5.75" x 11.5", scored at 5.75" on the long side, to make my 5.75" square card base.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock, 5" x 5", stamped Star and Flourish Birthday in the center and adhered it to my card front.
  • I cut my card front - a piece of July 4th paper - and die-cut the center using a rectangle die.
  • I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the July 4th paper and then I added foam tape around the 4 sides and around the 4 sides of the inside rectangle.
  • I placed my shaker elements - gold stars and red and blue micro beads - on top of the Star and Flourish Birthday image and then adhered my card front over them.
  • I used the next size rectangle die to die-cut a frame, which I adhered around the sentiment along with some red, white, and blue enamel dots.
  • To finish the card off, I cut a piece of white cardstock, 5.5" square, stamped Kisses and Wishes in black, and adhered to the inside of the card.  The two images work perfectly together with the stars in each image.

So, what do you guys think of this idea?  If you make it, let me know...I'd love to see it.  Until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.

Celebrate America | Stamp Once Get Two Cards

Hello, my fellow Junkies!  Michael here with his first post on the Technique Junkies Design Team Blog.  I LOVE July 4th and miss it terribly.  And, I may not get to enjoy fireworks but I do enjoy making cards for July 4th.  And I love getting more bang for my buck.

To make these two cards I used one stamp - the Celebrate America stamp.  I love this stamp but, man, it's a big one!  So I stamped it once on white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then I cut the image in half, giving me two stamps.  There are so many words on this stamp that cutting it in half is easy peasy.

Next, I made my 2 cards.  One card I used a star embossing folder with a piece of blue cardstock, which I adhered to the card front.  Then I layered half my card on red, white and blue cardstock and adhered that to the front.  For my other card, I adhered strips of red, white, and blue cardstock and then I layered the other half - again on red, white, and blue cardstock and then to the card front.  Done!

Done!  Stamp once, cut once, and make two cards.  What do you think of this idea?  I'd love to know.  Leave a comment below.  AND, if you want to save 10% on this stamp or anything else on the website, use my code TJ10Michael.

Stay safe this July 4th.

God Bless the USA

Pam here today sharing our new Statue of Liberty and God Bless the USA stamps. I used a turquoise ink to stamp lady Liberty and then cut a mask to cover her and sponge around her. I cut the sentiment apart to get it to fit as I wanted and it is up on dimensionals and stamped in navy.
I have always been so fascinated with this iconic part of who we are as Americans and have yet to see it in real life! I will get there someday!
Today is the last day to get 15% off the new releases. All your other items, use my code TJ10Pam to take 10% off.
