Bloom With Grace

Deb here with my first post to the Technique Junkies blog as a new member of their Design Team.  I had so many May release stamps to choose from but finally decided on the Bloom With Grace image. I will be posting here on this blog several times a month on Thursdays and also on my own blog -  Meticulosity  - each month . 

• I started by stamping the Bloom With Grace image on a folded piece of 6x6 green plaid patterned paper to create a mini-slimline card.
• Rose Gold texture paste was placed on the left side of the card base using the Teeny Honeycomb Stencil .
• A strip of washi tape was adhered across the top of the card.
• A butterfly sticker was placed on top of the texture paste with foam tabs to add some more dimension.

Mini-slimline cards are fun to create and a way to use my seriously crazy stash of 6x6 paper pads. I also love to stamp on patterned paper and this paper was perfect for this card design. Thank you for taking a look at my card using one of the May stamp releases.

Burning Bridges...

Hello Technique Junkies! When I saw this new stamp I couldn't wait to dig out my flame fabric and whip up some cards. It's a great message to send to someone that needs a little humor and support.

Do you ever use fabric on your cards?  All you do is spread glue on the front of your card base, add the fabric and be sure it is smoothed out really well, let dry, then trim off the excess.  

For the yellow and orange around the sentiment you can use chalks, colored pencils, or finger daubers (small sponges that fit on your fingers) with ink from your ink pads. You could even sketch some flames or matches and color those in bright colors.

For the finishing touch my crafty mom provided a cute horse sticker.
