Hang 10 Time

Deb here with my latest card for a beach loving or surfer friend !! I think this Hang Ten stamp from the June Release is so much fun. You can use the entire stamp or fussy-cut the surf boards, which it what I did for this card today .. I absolutely LOVE this card  💙

  • I cut a piece of wave patterned paper from the Summer Resort paper pad into a 6 inch square and adhered it to a card base made with Kraft cardstock.
  • I stamped the Hang Ten image on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then fussy-cut the surfboards.
  • The boards were colored with my COPICS .
  • I paper punched a sun - also from the Summer Resort paper pad - and adhered it with a foam tab to the center of the wave paper.
  • I positioned 8 of the fussy-cut boards around the sun, also using foam tabs.
  • A chipboard quote was placed on the lower right side of the card .

This card just makes me smile !! I hope it puts a smile on your face today too..

Summer Love Letters

 Hello!  (Chris here)

One of the most iconic things about the beach are the seashells.  There is just something about them that fills our hearts with wonder.  We all bring them home and put them in a special place.  Every time we see them the sea calls us.  They tie our hearts to a happier place.  They are love letters in the sand.

To create my background I started wtih kraft cardstock.  I sponged two different shades of brown ink onto the kraft.  I tried to make it uneven.  I was trying to create a sandy look.   I then splattered the background with both shades of brown and then white pigment ink to add some contrast.   Then I set this aside to dry.  I used Seashell Dies to cut the shells out a variety of specialized paper.  They all have a pearl or glitter finish to them. I sponged on a touch of brown ink (just whatever was left on the brush from creating the background).   I arranged the shells and stamped the sentiment.  I hope you love this card.   I wish the camera could capture the shine.   You will just have to trust me. :)

Beachy Surfing Vibes

These surfboards just radiate happiness! Today I used the Hang Ten stamp with the Good Vibes sentiment set to create my beachy vibes. After coloring the surfboards, I cut them out and added some torn paper over a shimmering blue background. Let's go to the beach!

Hang 10, Nap, Swim, and Surf

Hello everyone.  I hope y'all had a safe, fun, and cool July 4th.  Today I am sharing another card using my new favorite stamp - Hang 10.  This is such a fun stamp to have in your arsenal.  Not only can it be used as a background, but each of the surfboards are very simple to fussy cut if you don't have a Scan N Cut.

If you want to recreate this card, here is what I did.

  • I made a top-folding A2 card using light blue cardstock.
  • I die-cut 2 pieces of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die and adhered 1 of them to the inside of the card for a message or note.
  • Using the Sunburst stencil from The Crafter's Workshop (retired), I brushed on yellow ink on the other piece of white cardstock.
  • I ripped a piece of kraft cardstock, sprayed it with permanent glue and added sand to the top.  I did several layers of the sand until I got the look I wanted.  Then I adhered it to the bottom of my card.
  • I stamped Hang 10 on white cardstock, used my Scan N Cut to cut the boards, colored 6 of the surfboards, and adhered them on the card front sitting in the sand.
  • Lastly, I stamped Beach Rules on white cardstock,  trimmed the words Nap*Swim*Surf, layered it on a banner die, and adhered it to the card front using foam squares.  There are several words on this stamp that you can use.
Done!

I hope you enjoyed this card idea.  If you shop on the Technique Junkies website, remember to use my code - TJ10Michael - at checkout to save 10% on your purchase.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.
