The second card uses the Pastel Stick Stencils technique:

I also love this stamp and use it a lot!  You can find it here -- http://www.stampcamp.com/atc1.html.  I used vellum in a couple of places to add some different texture!

My final card uses the Alcohol Stencil technique.  This technique gives a different look:
You can find the butterfly stamps I used on this web page - http://www.stampcamp.com/Butterflies.html .  I enjoyed getting the alcohol inks to work and create the background look I was trying to achieve!

Colored Stone Silk - TOTW

Happy Sunday Junkies...Tricia here with this weeks Technique of the Week...Colored Stone Silk.

I love coloring an image as I choose and not to have to try to match colors to designer paper.  The background of this card was so easy to do with the Color Stone Silk technique from this months' newsletter.  I colored the image with copics and used my copic refills on the background to match.

Stamps:  Stampin Up!, Saturated Canary

I hope to see what you guys come up with...I know you will love this technique!

Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by!

Oldie but Goodie - Out of the Nestie Box

Hi Junkies, Tricia here.  I made this card for my girlfriends birthday using this really cool Saturated Canary digi colored with copics.  I used my distress inks to create a background to match.  I cut her out using the Out of the Nestie Box technique...always a go to technique especially if you are trying to show off as much of the background as possible.

I love this Impression Obsession background stamp which is so versatile I love that I keep going back to it.  Don't you love when you can use your stamps for all different cards?

I hope you have a crafty day and thanks so much for stopping by today.

TOTW - Silver On Gold

Hi Junkies, Tricia here with this week's technique of the week "Silver On Gold".

This technique is so cool!  I love how the background is so shimmery.  (I wish it was light out so I could take a better pic, it's so much cooler IRL).   I think it would be great on Christmas Cards (I need to start these...lol).

The background stamp I used on this one is from Stampin Up! and the sentiment is from Gina K Designs.  I really didn't want to cover up the background too much so I left it as it is.

I hope you will join us this week and play along...can't wait to see what you create!

Have a crafty day!

Background Stained Glass

Good morning friends.  It's Beth Norman here with this week's Technique of the Week, Background Stained Glass.  My lovely background stamp is one of the many background stamps from the Technique Junkies Stamps.  The sentiment is also from the Technique Junkies Stamps.

I stamped out my background stamp and coloured with Copic markers.  The sentiment uses the Whisped Frames technique, one of my go-to techniques.

I've enjoyed seeing the DT members and subscribers have been doing with this technique and hope to see yours soon too.

Have a great week!

Brayered Rub-Ons

Hello again, It's Jackie K  with an example of the Brayered Rub-Ons Technique!
You can find it in this years Feb/Mar Issue.

A little early for a Halloween card you may be thinking?
Well, not if you have 12 grandchildren like I do. Mind you, the oldest is 27 years old but he still gets a card as do all the others for every occasion. What are crafty grandmothers for after all?

I have not inserted the card yet because for some unknown reason the computer won't put it where I want it so bear with me. I am going to give you the details and then insert the card.
I used colored rub-ons for this card which led me to thinking...you really could use stickers if you had to.
I would tell you the maker of these rub-ons but in my ever effort to be tidy I threw out the packaging before I wrote the details down. I CAN tell you that the ghost that was stamped on vellum is from Stampendous. I have had this stamp for eons and I still smile whenever I use it. I brayered over the card with ColorBox Amber pigment ink.
OK so after wading through all this verbage, I hope you are not disappointed in the card.  Thanks for looking and I will see you in two weeks!
