I started with a Kraft Tag, the A Colorful Life Rough Edge Circlezz Stencil, and my MISTI.
I love using my MISTI for stenciling ... everything stays where I want it to and clean-up on my MISTI mousepad is super-easy.
I applied some temporary adhesive to the tag to hold it in place, since I specifically wanted to position it where one of the circles was over the circle at the top of the tag.
I combined Evergreen Bough and Mowed Grass Distress Inks to create my tag background using my favorite Make-Up Brush (it seriously change my ink-blending life).
Once I finished my tag, I stamped A Very Merry Christmas on another Kraft Tag (it was actually the back side of the first tag I tried to stencil with Distress Oxide Ink that turned out paler than I wanted ... so I recycled).
Once I put my tag together, I realized I had managed to cover-up most of my stenciling, so I used the same inks and Rough Edge Circlezz Stencil and a lighter Kraft Cardstock to create my background.
I love that with my MISTI, I can peek as I go along to see that I'm getting the variation in color that I was hoping to achieve.
I assembled my tag/card using flowers from Little Birdie and a coordinating card base.

Such a lovely card, Stephanie. The mix of greens are a lovely contrast, the stenciled background for the card and tag work so well with the overall design. tfs
Just masterful, Stephanie! I always love your step-by-steps, thanks for doing them! And thanks for enabling, those makeup brushes are on their way to me now haha xoxo
