Beautiful and Brave Enough

Happy Saturday Technique Junkies! Today I'm sharing a flat card that has lots of subtle layers and yet super easy to put together!

It could be intimidating not knowing how to get a layered look that is still subtle, but I've got a combination of stamps and supplies that will get us there! Let's get started!

Supplies:
Instructions:
  1. Stamp Textured Newsprint with London Fog ink onto white cardstock.
  2. Stamp Butterfly Beauty and Brave Enough To Fly with Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock.
  3. Color with pencils to butterfly and background around butterfly and sentiment. Optionally blend with odorless mineral spirits and a cotton swab or paper stump tool.
  4. Draw a border with a permanent black pen.
  5. Spray Festive Flamingo just over the butterfly. Let dry.
  6. Cover butterfly and sentiment with torn pieces of scraps or copy paper. Lay stencil on top and spray Smoldering Ash Blish Spray around edges. Let dry.
  7. Use a stylus tool and dot white acrylic paint around the outer edge of the image. Add streaks of white paint with toothpick or liner brush on butterfly and sentiment. Let dry.
  8. Mat stamp layer on black cardstock and then onto kraft cardstock base with adhesive tape or glue.

Enjoy your weekend and remember to shop with a discount!
