Sassy Pants

Hello creative friends!

I am sharing two fun cards today here on the Technique Junkies blog.  I have had a great time designing with the talented Technique Junkies' Team! This is my last post, and I'd like to say thank you to them all for making me feel so welcome! Hope to be back again soon...

This first card features 2 new stamps, Coffee Girl, and Jet Fuel.

The sentiment was stamped with a pretty ink onto a white cardstock panel. Next, the image was stamped, using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The image was colored with copic markers, and a bit of stenciling was done using a Grunge Dots stencil by A Colorful Life Designs. A strip of Washi Tape was added below the image, and the focal panel was adhered to a coral colored card base.

After I looked at it a while, I decided this Coffee Girl was in need of some sass, so I applied Glossy Accents to her sunglasses!

Next up, is a fun card that features Sassy Pants from the March release, and an older stamp Drinkin' and Thinkin'.  It's been a pretty rough month here, and there were 2 or 3 days that I totally looked just like this gal! And believe me, my pants were sassy! Lol....

I used a dark gray ink to stamp and stencil on this gray card front. The stencil is Messy Diamond Grid from A Colorful Life Designs.

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Peace & Comfort in Floralsthing of you, technique junkies

Happy Day! My share for this Wednesday is the Pretty Line Floral paired with a sentiment from the new Peace & Comfort, set of 6. I stamped this on watercolor paper using my Misti to get a good, crisp image. Next, I watercolored the image and for interest, I added splatters in black to main image panel..as well as the scalloped oval die cut. The sentiment is on dimensional. Simple and easy to do and it makes a lovely creation letting someone know you're thinking of them.

Friends and Moose????

hhahaha - couldn't decide on a title line for my blogpost today so hope that caught your eye.

Today is my post with a couple of March release stamps

(and be sure to use my discount code when shopping  TJ10Darlene)

I dug out my perfect pearls for this !  Has been awhile.

But this 'pretty line florals' background stamp worked perfectly

Then layered, bit of ribbon.  The saying is a previously released stamp which was embossed and layer on.

Next Share is the Floral Moose - one of my old time favourites

along with the new release of 'all about spring'

Contemporary Spring Day

Our Contemporary Floral Vine Stamp is a fresh floral image that can be used in many different ways! Today we use it in the simplest form - coloring with Copic markers. The sentiment is called A Kind Word - its vertical format is also perfect for the Vine stamp. Both stamps are available from www.techniquejunkies.com

Oh, the joys of again....

Making fun of aging is one way to make it a little easier, right? Our Senility stamp is a fun play on words of the Serenity stamp - one designed to make you laugh. The background is the lace scallops stamp, embellished with yellow Nuvo Jewel Drops.

Dog hair is my GLITTER!

Hello TJ Stampers!

A trip to the vet with our sweet 13 year old dog Junior inspired me to dig out this funny Dog Hair is My Glitter stamp and some red glitter paper.  I seem to associate red glitter paper with the holidays, but not today!

So let's have some fun with the Dog Hair is My Glitter stamp. If you're a dog lover I KNOW you own some dog rubber stamps to go with it. But if you'd like this cute little dog I used on this card it's from Advice from a dog stamp. I like to get as much mileage out of my stamps as possible so I cut the dog out. To get the reverse image I stamped on a plastic sheet first, then applied my card stock.

If you'd like that paw print background I used here's the link for the paws stencil  or if you would prefer paw prints background stamp.  Save 10% off your purchase with code TJ10AJ

Ombre Pretty Line Florals

The Pretty Line Florals stamp is one of the prettiest and most versatile stamps from the March 2023 Technique Junkies Release! Here I used one of the stamps from the Five Fab Phrases set for the sentiment. The Pretty Line Florals stamp was colored direct-to-stamp with Catherine Pooler Ink.

Welcome to MANY PAWS

Do you love cats? Cat rubber stamps?  Real cats =^..^=   I sure do! Tell me about your cat(s) and how they inspire your creativy. Do they help you when you make cards (like lay right on your project!)?

I've had wonderful cats since I was 9 years old. My first cat lived until I was 30. She was the runt of the litter and lived to be 21. She set a high bar for kitty longevity didn't she? Now here I am...mid fifties and still LOVE cats!  Speaking of kitties - do you have the rubber stamp I used here called, of course, Many Paws ?  It's cute stamped with any background. For fun I used some leftover string I had in my stash and wrapped it around the bottom of the dark pink background piece. It ties in with the kitty with the striped sweater. Or is that string wrapped around that kitty?  If you're inspired (ins-purr-ired) to shop don't forget to use code TJ10AJ to save 10%.

All About Spring

Happy Sunday!

I am sharing two fun cards today here on the Technique Junkies blog

The first day of spring is tomorrow! So ya'll know how much I loved working with this great new background stamp All About Spring

Here is my first card:

To create this card, I used my Misti, so that each time I stamped, the placement was accurate. I began with the top section. I masked off the lower section of the stamp, and inked up the upper section with pink ink. I removed the mask, and made my first stamp. The next section was done the same way, except for masking off the upper and lower sections, and stamping only the 3 green lines. This process was repeated for the lower section. The word 'Spring' was stamped onto a piece of cardstock, trimmed closely, matted with a matching orange border & popped up using dimensional foam. Note: I did re-stamp a flower in yellow, and pop it up over top of the green stamped flower.

Here is my next card:

To create this card, I grabbed up a Kraft card base, and a focal panel piece, also in Kraft. Using the beautiful new Pretty Line Florals background stamp, I stamped the background with Versamark ink, so it is a pretty, soft, tone on tone.  Next, using Catherine Pooler's Midnight Ink, I stamped the gorgeous new sentiment No Greater Love. The focal panel was matted with a black panel, and adhered to the card base. Quick and easy! I send a lot of cards to church family, so a stamp like this makes me happy dance!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Shimmering Gold Peace and Comfort

The Senility Prayer

Hi friends!

I am sharing two fun cards today here on the Technique Junkies blog

So, I can certainly relate to BOTH of these cards!  The older I get, the more I pray for patience with people. Lol...they probably pray for patience with me, too! Anyway, this fun new stamp is called The Senility Prayer, and it was fun to create with.

 Here we go:

The image and sentiment are a single stamp, so this was stamped onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The image was then colored using copic markers. I matted it onto some blue cardstock, then onto a navy blue card base. She needed a bit of definition, so her glasses got some glossy accents, which you can see better in the photo below.  I felt the card was too blah, but didn't have any stencils that 'fit' this stamp, so I grabbed my markers and 'dotted' a background. Easy card, and a fun one to send to a friend or family member!

On to card #2:

This one is pretty self-explanatory! Some fun patterned papers, a few pop dots, and some pretty inks were used on this fun new stamp In the Craft Room. This one just makes me happy, and I know that those of you with craft rooms 'get it'! I love my craft room - it's my happy place!

Thanks for stopping by today!

No Greater Love

Happy Hump Day out there in Blogland!!! Today I am showcasing the beautiful sentiment No Greater Love and on the first card, Lace Scallops. Isn't the font beautiful? It is so easy to make a striking creation with it. For both, I used designer papers and for the life of me, I can't find the paper pads I took them from. No surprise there! The sentiment is popped up on both creations and I used a stitched die cut, as well.
Head on over to Technique Junkies for all things fabulous in stamping and use my code TJ10Pam.

Shimmering Senility Prayer

So this Snarky Senility Prayer... the best way to manage memories! I simply deconstructed the Senility Prayer stamp and layered it over a Lace Scallops background sprayed with Miami Vice and Dolphin Cove Shimmering Bliss. She might be memory-impaired, but she shimmers!

Peace and Comfort Seaside

No-one likes to send these cards...but they are necessary. This set of 6 stamps called Peace and Comfort was made for those times when saying "Get Well Soon" or just straight- up sympathy cards don't quite fit. Today I paired two of the stamps from Peace and Comfort with the Seagrass Lighthouse stamp.
