Hello Technique Junkie friends,
Today I’m using the just released My Favorite Breed stamp with multiple ways to create the background. In the examples shown below I used a scallop punch since it was the perfect size for this stamp. Check your punches and dies - you might have the right size too.
1) This paw print background was created using silver foil card stock (mirror card stock) and paw print embossing folder. It looks cool don’t you think?
2) The card with the gold paws on white was made using gold transfer foil and Paws stencil
3) The ever so handy Paws stencil gets used a lot in my craft room. I used the stencil and orange distress oxide ink on a finger dauber to create this background.
4) On the last card I used some paw print paper I had in my stash.
Tip #1: If you have a single paw print rubber stamp you could use it to stamp all over a card front to create your background. Use one color or many.
Tip#2: If you have the TJ Paw Prints background stamp then of course that would work perfectly on these cards.
Tip#3: If you have a paw print embossing folder - rub ink from your ink pad on one side of it, add card stock carefully between the embossing folder, then run through your embossing machine. Now your paw prints have a little color and it makes a nice background for your card.
Idea: The My favorite breed stamp is perfect for animal lovers and animal rescues. Did you know there are dog/cat animal rescues that like to receive handmade cards? Reach out and ask them. I’ve donated dozens and dozens over the years to Three Sisters Pet Rescue in Cincinnati, Ohio. They use them for fundraising and Technique Junkies has the perfect stamps for rescue cards. I’ll list the ones I love below and if you like to watch videos I have one featuring many animal rescue card ideas @artcardswithaj
