Fishing You A Fintastic Father's Day (Say That 10 Times Fast)

Hi everyone.  Does your dad love fishing?  Or, maybe an uncle or close friend that you consider your dad?  Here is a quick and easy Father's Day card idea for you.

  • Make your card size - I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.  Then I went through my stash of papers, picked a masculine paper to use, and adhered a piece to my card front.
  • I stamped Jumping Fish Linograph on a piece of white cardstock, die-cut it with a rectangle die, and adhered it to a piece of blue cardstock.

  • I adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back of the blue cardstock.
  • I typed up the sentiment on my computer, printed it out, and die-cut it using a banner die, and a piece of the same blue cardstock using another banner die.
  • If you want to use this for a birthday card, just change the sentiment to say Fishing you a Fintastic Birthday.
  • I adhered my stamped image piece to the card front.  Then I adhered my printed sentiment to my blue cardstock, cut it to size, and adhered it to the card front.

Super easy and fast card to make.  If you want to add color to your image, you can use a cloud stencil with light blue ink behind the fish.  I did this with the same image on my March 30th post.  Click HERE to check that one out too.

If there's no wind, row

Good day! It is almost the end of 2021 and I say, good riddance! Some good things DID happen this year but I am looking forward to a clean slate.

Speaking of clean slate, I can't even tell you how many pics I took of this creation. Glitter, dust and who knows what wanted their time in this pic!

I had so much fun using the A Colorful Life Designs cloud stencil. I used lots of colors; so saffron, pink, broken china, faded jeans, salty ocean and black.

This image is called Row and the sentiment is actually attached to it at the bottom. I absolutely love this stamp and the possibilities that go with it! I masked to use a combo of faded jeans and salty ocean for the water. The only dimension is the sentiment which I die cut.

Let's hope this next year is less windy (or troublesome)!
