Watercolor Reinkers Technique with Technique Junkie Stamps

I just love so many of the stamps from the Technique Junkie stamp line.  And I have been enjoying looking at the stamps I now have and trying to revisit some older techniques from the Technique Junkie newsletter.  This one features the Watercolor Reinkers Technique from the February 2012 newsletter.

I used a piece of designer paper and then layered the two stamped pieces using the Watercolor Reinker technique on the base card.  I love how technique pulls the two stamped images together.

This would be  a fun birthday, thinking of you, or get well card.

I hope you have a crafty day!

Fancy Petals

Hello again everyone, Jackie K back again with the Fancy Petals Technique.

These cards sure come together fast once you make the flowers. There are so many options to use when making the flowers. Different papers, different flowers, and the punch possibilities are endless. I regret that I used this sentiment stamp because I don't know who makes it. Once again, I have had some stamps for over 20 years, many unmounted. That was long before I realized I should keep track of that information. If anyone knows I would really appreciate a shout out!

Give this a try and remember to post to the yahoo group so we can all enjoy the fruits of your creative labor.

See you back here soon!

Brayered Rub-ons

Hello TJ Friends~ Kathie McGuire here to share a card I made using the Brayered Rub-ons technique from the current newsletter. Fast and fun, and a whole new way of using rub-ons! The top portion of the card is silver cardstock run through a Cuttlebug folder, and the medallion piece is a Spellbinders die cut. I used a metal sheet from Add a Little Dazzle, and then after I cut and embossed it, I sanded the black off with a sanding block. Thank you for taking the time to stop by! ~Kathie

Offset Die Cuts

Hello there.  This week's Technique of the Week is Offset Die Cuts from the February issue.  It is a fun technique and I'm sure you are seeing lots of these showing up already on our Yahoo group.  It seems to be a popular technique for us Junkies.

My center flower stamp is from Stampn' Up! and my sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, one of our sponsors.

Stay warm.  I know it's been cold all around Canada and the United States.

Stayed tuned for more Offset Die Cuts from the design team.  I hope you are inspired to try this technique if you haven't done so already.

Try That Technique - Offset Die Cuts

Stamps:  Penny Black, Gina K Designs

I created this cute hedgehog card using the try that technique - Offset Die Cuts.

What a great card in person.  I just love all the layers!

I colored this sweet image with copics.  I actually cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Hope you will join in with us this week!

Have a great day!

Holly Brown: Brayered Rubons Cowboy

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm using the Technique of the Week today.  This week's TOTW is Brayered Rub-ons from the Feb/March 2014 issue.  I found some old flower rub-ons and used those for my background piece today.  The stamped image is from one of our wonderful vendors, About Art Accents/Art Neko.  I colored it with my new Inktense pencils - lots of fun!

I hope you try out this Brayered Rub-ons technique.  It's really easy and such a fun new look for backgrounds.  :-)
