Layered Paper Pieced wedding card

Hetty here with a wedding card for

For this card I used the Layered paper pieced technique

which you can find in the TJ Newsletter from 

Dec 2013/Jan 2014.

The wedding couple is a very old SU! stamp

that i just love using and works very well for

this technique.

TOTW Washi Shaker Card

 

How much fun is this? I used Washi tape around the frame as it calls for in the instructions

and also used it for the background of my card. I was dying to use the peacock feathers tape because it is so gorgeous. The stamp is an oldie but a goodie from Impression Obsession. There is a white border around the card that fades into the background of the post so you will have to use your imagination. I keep forgetting this and must try to remember the next time I post. The shakers are gold sequins and are much prettier IRL.

I hope this post finds you all well and being creative. My heart goes out to all of you that are in the colder climates. Boy, you certainly have had to deal with a lot this winter. It is a balmy 80 degrees here in the desert. That could change soon as we had snow last year in March!

 

Give this technique a try. It's a very simple shaker card with really nice results. Don't forget to post your creations to the Yahoo group so we can all be inspired.

Try That Technique - Washi Tape Shaker Card

I created this sweet St. Patrick's Day card for my nephews.  The little shamrocks were created with my Silhouette Cameo. 

The image is colored with copics using the No Line coloring technique.  The image is from Magnolia.

Designer Paper Starburst

Hello there.  Feeling the luck of the Irish these days and couldn't resist making some cards to send to my family.

When I make a card I traditionally try to use a TJ technique and the Designer Paper Starburst cried out for this one.  Rather than using DP I used colourful cardstock to create a rainbow.  The corner is well hidden by the icicle punch I used to make grass.

My cloud dies are from My Favorite Things and my stamp is Leprechaun Luka from La La Land Crafts.

New to Copics I turned to You Tube to help me with my colouring.

Holly Brown: Paper Piecing Flower Girl

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today.  One of my favorite TJ techniques is Paper Piecing, and I love using it when I have a cute line art stamped image.  On my card today, I've paper pieced the girl's dress, the flower, and her headband with the same yellow patterned paper that I used at the bottom of the card.  It's a fun way to add a little oomph to a stamped image.

Watercolor Reinkers Technique with Technique Junkie Stamps

I just love so many of the stamps from the Technique Junkie stamp line.  And I have been enjoying looking at the stamps I now have and trying to revisit some older techniques from the Technique Junkie newsletter.  This one features the Watercolor Reinkers Technique from the February 2012 newsletter.

I used a piece of designer paper and then layered the two stamped pieces using the Watercolor Reinker technique on the base card.  I love how technique pulls the two stamped images together.

This would be  a fun birthday, thinking of you, or get well card.
