There Is Always Hope

Sunday Greetings!  It's Lynda Joy here, with a card to share with you, featuring one of the new July release stamps.

I used the Crane SD987 and Always Hope SD651 stamps on my card today.

I stamped the image and verse onto a white card stock panel, onto which I had swished some blue and green color with distress ink and a water brush.  I used brush markers to color the image.

I stamped the verse with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, and added some black spatters using watered black acrylic paint.

I layered it onto a blue panel, then onto a brown A2 card front.

Summer Barn

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share a pretty card that I made using a stamp from the July 2020 Technique Junkies release.

For this card, I'm stamping with 'Summer Barn'. I absolutely love old barns. In fact, our barn looked so much like this one MANY years ago! Mother Nature, sadly, has not been so good to our poor old barn!

The image was stamped onto white cardstock, using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I took a few Copic markers to finish the image, and matted it onto some tan cardstock. This was then 'framed out' with some wood grained and striped paper scraps from my stash. It was all put together and mounted onto a gold card base. The sentiment is from an older set 'Simple Sentiments, Set 2, Style B'.

This was such a lovely image to work with - I hope you'll give it a try!

It's Slimline Card Time!

Slimline cards have been all the rage lately and I couldn't wait to jump on the bandwagon. I have a fun creation for you highlighting a new stamp set and an older one, both of which I've done a little surgery on.  See what you think...

Here is a closeup so you can see the detail in this stamp...

These are the stamp sets I used (and dissected just a little). You could always get the same effect with masking if you are uncomfortable cutting apart your stamps.

If you haven't tried a slimline card, they are super easy. And it's nice to see something a little different from the norm. You start with a letter size (8.5" x 11") piece of cardstock. Cut it at 7" and score at 3.5". I trimmed down the leftover panel and used that to stamp my images on and add a little dimension. I used embossing powders to get the dimensional stamping. The edge of the stamped panel was coated with Versamark and embossed as well.
