Fishing You A Fintastic Father's Day (Say That 10 Times Fast)

Hi everyone.  Does your dad love fishing?  Or, maybe an uncle or close friend that you consider your dad?  Here is a quick and easy Father's Day card idea for you.

  • Make your card size - I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock.  Then I went through my stash of papers, picked a masculine paper to use, and adhered a piece to my card front.
  • I stamped Jumping Fish Linograph on a piece of white cardstock, die-cut it with a rectangle die, and adhered it to a piece of blue cardstock.

  • I adhered a piece of black fun foam to the back of the blue cardstock.
  • I typed up the sentiment on my computer, printed it out, and die-cut it using a banner die, and a piece of the same blue cardstock using another banner die.
  • If you want to use this for a birthday card, just change the sentiment to say Fishing you a Fintastic Birthday.
  • I adhered my stamped image piece to the card front.  Then I adhered my printed sentiment to my blue cardstock, cut it to size, and adhered it to the card front.

Super easy and fast card to make.  If you want to add color to your image, you can use a cloud stencil with light blue ink behind the fish.  I did this with the same image on my March 30th post.  Click HERE to check that one out too.

Flowers and friends

I love this sentiment from the Technique Junkies In Full Bloom Sentiments. It makes for such a wonderful friendship card. I paired it today wit h the Flower Border stamp, which was colored with Copic markers. Clean and simple - but oh so pretty!

Quick & Simple Ink Blended Card

  Hello Crafters -

Creating a quick and simple ink blending cards allows endless possibilities with how you use your stamps. Today's card is featuring 2 beautiful stamps from the March stamp release: Flower and Wing Silhouette and Black Queen stamp for the sentiment.

Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide was used to create the ink blended focal point in the center of my card base. I then stamped the image and sentiment directly on the blended rectangle. Isn't it lovely!

To embellish the image I used bitty sparkles to add accents to the flowers and butterflies.
I absolutely adore the finished card. 💗

I hope you are inspired! Use code TJ10Shalana at checkout. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Family Love

Hello. Jeanette here. I hope you had a wonderful Easter. For many, that means time spent with family so it seems appropriate that I have a family-themed set of cards to share with you today.

I used the same Technique Junkies stamp for all three cards - Being a Family. Truthfully, all three cards are mostly the same. The same design. The same embellishments. The big difference is the way I colored the greenery in each of the cards.

On this first card, I used my "normal" method. I stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.

Then I decided to use some Crumb Cake (Kraft-colored) cardtock and color with colored pencils.

I colored the image with a white colored pencil, which resulted in a soft/subtle look.

I wanted to try one more look.

This time I again stamped the image on white cardstock, but instead of coloring it with a white colored pencil, I used two green colored pencils.

So, I'm curious. Which of the three looks do you like best? Are there other combinations of paper/color you would try?

I hope you've enjoyed seeing these three variations.
