Day 24: Torn Music and a crazy cat

Greetings! Today is Day 22 of the 30 Days of Christmas -- and I am pleased to bring you one of the craziest cats in the Technique Junkies line: the Christmas Carol Kitty. My lovely little, devious kitty was colored using Studio 71 alcohol markers, and layered over a Torn Music Collage background.

Day 29 of the 30 Days of Christmas

Alas, the 30 Days of Christmas posts are coming to an end. Tomorrow will be the last "Days" post. But don't worry! The team will resume to it's regularly scheduled events, bringing you oodles of ideas and inspiration. You still have time to save 20% on the wonderful Christmas stamps until November 13th!! I have some glittery goodness for you today. This shimmery Christmas card features stencil from A Colorful Life (Gothic Swirl), some Nuvo Glimmer Paste (Emerald Green), and a stamp from the Gifts of Christmas Set. 

I used some gold cardstock and taped my stencil over the top. Using my palette knife, I spread the glimmer paste across the stencil. I immediately removed (and cleaned!) the stencil and set the cardstock aside to dry.

I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and used a die to cut out the label. After the base piece was dry, I adhered that to the card base after wrapping a strip of red satin ribbon around it. I added the label using foam tape, and added a couple of glittered embellishments to finish off the card.

I love how the glittered background catches the light and just glimmers so festively! I hope you are inspired to do some Christmas crafting yourself!

Day 22: Incredibly Iridescent Glimmer Paste

At every one of the 20 Trade shows I exhibited at this year, we had a free make and take. I had each person who sat down with me do two projects; one with Glimmer Paste and one with Nuvo Mousse. Today I bring to you the project that every person loved using the Glimmer Paste. Note that I made several examples of the technique using a variety of stencils and stamps - and one I of them is a Christmas card. Today is Day 22 of the 30 days of Christmas. The card was made using "Nordic Knit" (for the bg) from the October 2017 release, "Christmas Dog" and "Dear Santa", from the September 2017 release. 

I used my MISTI for all the stamping on this card.  The bg was stamped in Memento Grey Flannel ink.  A window was cut using a MFT peek-a-boo wonky window die, as was the Christmas Dog image after stamping him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring with Copic Markers.  The sentiment was die cut using a deckle rectangle die and mounted with dimensional tape.  I had such a good time creating this card...that face!
