Jelly Fish

Hello Technique Junkies!
I have a card to share with you today using a couple sets from Technique Junkies Stamps. Remember you can save 10% on your entire order excluding new releases and clearance by using my code TJ10Ceal.

To create this card I started with a white top folding card base, a mat cut a little smaller using Coastal Cabana cardstock and a watercolor panel on which I water-cooled the jellyfish image.
I stamped the Jellyfish on some watercolor paper and colored it using distress inks, I also used the Nuvo glitter markers as well.
The greeting is from the Fairy Tale Flowers set.

Wishing You A Day That Sparkles

Hello Technique Junkies fans, and welcome.  Lynda Joy here, with a card using the July release stamp Swirly Waves.  I also used a previous release stamp for the verse from the Sweet Fairy Tale Bundle set.

I 'inked' the Swirly Waves stamp with Caran D'Ache Aquarelle crayons, then spritzed it and stamped it onto watercolor paper.  I did this in my Misti, so that I could ink, stamp, and repeat as necessary.  When dry, I added some glitter with a glue pen and loose glitter.
The verse is stamped with Ranger Archival ink, and layered onto the card with foam tape.

Thanks for visiting today, and remember, to get 10% off your entire order at the Technique Junkies store, use my code, TJ10Lynda at the checkout.
Thanks so much for visiting.  Enjoy the rest of this month's inspiration from the TJ design team.

K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Sweetie!)

Hello, TJ Fans. It's Ro with you today and I'm here to confess...I'm sometimes forgetful. Like when you have a blog post due and your dogs wake you up at 4AM to go outside and that's when you remember that you didn't do your post. LOL  Never happened to you? Well, how about when your hubby asks you for a card for his boss...for the next day. Or your kid needs a birthday card...in an hour. Now can you relate? I thought so.

What do you do when you have a last minute card need? I KISS it.  Don't stress it, don't sweat it. Just keep it simple, sweetie. And that's just what I did.

With just two stamp sets mixed up and a little colored pencil and marker, I have a cute card. One layer, 3 colored pencils, and 1 fine tip marker. That's it.

I used the very fun sets called All Shapes (SD846) and Stand Tall (SD601). They go great together and, with a little masking, you can combine them to make a statement!

If you like these stamps, and any others you may want to treat yourself with, you can ALWAYS SAVE 10% by using the code below.

Hope you enjoyed my super simple, super sweet card today. K.I.S.S.

Til next time,
Keepin' it inky!

SWEET AND FRAGRANT MEMORIES

Hi there, TJ fans!!!!

Have you ever had a card idea that went south within minutes after you began the project?  Well, that's what happened with my project for this week.  One which I was absolutely sure would come together with no problems....boy, was I wrong.

So, rather than keep re-doing the same idea I changed direction....from my collection of TJ stamps I picked three of my favorites and went in another direction...and I'm happy I did.  These stamps (and all other stamps in the TJ Store) are available to you, if you'd like to purchase them, with a 10% discount if you use my personal discount code of TJ10CHERI.

To create this card I used "Lily Spay", "ATC Dotted Harlequin" and a sentiment from "Sentimental Sayings".  The coloring was done with my Chameleon ColorTone Pencils.  The image was first stamped in a dark green dye ink.  After coloring, I partially inked the harlequin stamp with a medium gray dye ink and off stamped it before bringing it to the panel.  This stamp gave additional texture to the background and was just the right touch.  The sentiment was stamped in the same gray color as the harlequin stamp.  Before placing the panel on a card base of darker gray, I used my VersaMark pen and heat embossed more textured ep around the outside edge.

I hope you found some inspiration here today and will stop by every day to see amazing projects created by the Technique Junkies Design Team.

Don't forget to check out our new challenge...it's about making Artist Trading Coins.  You could win some awesome TJ stamps if you play along with us.  The details are on the challenge post.

One more time, here's my discount coupon for you to use on your shopping trip the Technique Junkies Store.  Have fun!

LIfe's a Hoot!!!

Happy Sunday!!!

Vicki here with another ATC Coin Idea

For my coin, I used the You are a Hoot Set

I stamped my own onto the 2.5  inch pre sprayed circle, then I stamped a second owl onto Neenah Solar Crest Paper and coloured the owl with Copic Marker.

I cut the tree branch for a die cut and cut the Life's a Hoot sentiment out of the larger sentiment and set it up on a pop dot!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new ATC craze. How about you?

Happy Stamping,

--Vicki~~

Maritime Things To Do

Summer is the time for dipping into a water's edge and adventures along the shore whether it's a river, lake or ocean. Hopefully, you've had some downtime to experience that for yourselves. I was fortunate to be on vacation with my sisters early this summer where one of us was finally able to experience the ocean for the first time! This ties in with my project today, three sisters means three - Artist Trading Coins and three inspiration phrases!

  1. Make whimsical background paper. Mine was simple to make using a stamp positioner so I could add each color at a time, but you can add all the colors in one pass with markers, right?
Stamp: Tidepool
Ink: Memento Summer Sky, Teal Zeal, and Elderberry
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock
  1. Cut out 2-1/2 inch circles and stamp a layer of a simple repeat pattern by pressing only a portion of the paper onto the inked stamp. You will get a mixed media style impression.
Stamp: Anchors Background
Ink: Memento Elderberry
Circle Cutter (not shown)
  1. Stamp focal elements and add shading with Nuvo Mousse around them.
Stamp: Play Like A Pirate
Nuvo Mousse: Pacific Teal and Pure Platinum

Ink: Versafine Clair Nocturne (not shown)
  1. Stamp phrases or words onto white cardstock and glue to coins.
  2. Add glitter marker details around coin in dots, dashes or any combination.
  3. Add pen detail around words and glitter markers with a black and white pen.
