Sunflowers are kisses from the sun

Hello friends!! Giovana here today with a super cute and simple card.
I love sunflowers and next year I have decided I want sunflowers all around my yard, my husband is not on bard with this idea, but I think it will look gorgeous {wink, wink}

Anyway, let talk about this project.
I stamped the pretty Single Sunflower on a piece of watercolor paper in Versamark Ink, added White embossing powder and heat set.
Colored the image with watercolor pencils first, then added more deep colors with Chameleon pencils.
After that, I die-cut the piece and then sprayed it using Harvest Sunset and Thulian Pink Shimmering Bliss
Stamped the sentiment from Sunflower Sentiments on a piece of White cardstock in Red ink.
Added an extra panel behind the image and yellow twine.

You can see the fun shimmer in this close-up picture.

Shimmering Bliss Stenciling

Today I am sharing cards made with gorgeous Chestnut Mare Shimmering Bliss Spray and the Circles Make Circles Stencil.

Remember, if you use my discount code TJ10Stephanie you can get 10% off anything in the store including Stencils & Shimmering Bliss Sprays.

This card was made with a messy third print using the over-spray of the Mist that set on top of the stencil.  I flipped the stencil over a second time (you'll see the less messy second print below) and then sprayed on a bit more Mist on the stencil and flipped it over a second time on the paper.

The Motorcycle is from the new Enjoy the Ride Stamp Set and sentiment is from Inside Out Live Forever Set of 10.

I started with a piece of paper sprayed with Miami Vice Shimmering Mist and a scrap of white cardstock for my projects.  The first and second prints are below.

The next card using the top print in the picture above and this week's TGIF Challenges Sketch.

The truck is also from the Enjoy the Ride Set (there are five vehicles and one sentiment) and the Happy Birthday is from Simple Sentiments Set 1, Style a.

I used coppery rose gold sequins to complement the metallic shimmer of the spray.

My final card is the stenciled piece made by spraying the Chestnut Mare spray through the stencil onto the Miami Vice sprayed piece of cardstock

The Airplane & sentiment are both from the Enjoy the Ride Stamp Set.

I finished with some Copper Nail Head stickers.

Have you created with the new Shimmering Bliss?  We'd love to see you share your creations in the Technique Junkies Facebook Group.

Shimmering Bliss Flowers and Leaves

Hello, Beth Norman here with a Shimmering Bliss tutorial for you, showing how you can make your own flowers and leaves. Shimmering Bliss and any other product is available at 10% off simply by using my code TJ10Beth.

Spray your cardstock with Shimmering Bliss.  Here I used two colours:  Imperial Yellow and Festive Flamingo.  Let dry completely.  You can air dry or heat set.  I always like to go with air drying.

Using your embossing buddy, rub over the entire surface.  Stamp out with VersaMark and emboss with your favourite colours of embossing powders.
I stamped out a variety of colours with Swirls and Curls stamp.
For my leaves I used Vivid Volt and Imperial Yellow.  One thing that I love about Shimmering Bliss is the varigated colours you can achieve which is realistic rather than cutting out plain cardstock.
I sprayed, from left to right, Thalian Pink, Miami Vice, Imperial Yellow and Festive Flamingo mixed with Imperial Yellow.

Shimmering Bliss is truly a joy to use.  Results are different all the time.

This month's challenge is ATCs that Shimmer!

Never made an Artist Trading Card (ATC) before? It's easy!
Cut your cardstock (or whatever paper you plan to use) to 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" and get decorating! Think small!
ATC's are great to have around to add to a card base for a quick card.

Here is a template that shows how to cut 10 ATCs from one sheet of cardstock.

Or...
If you had so much fun with out last challenge and want to make Artist Trading Coins you can
enter the challenge with those too! For those not familiar to Artist Trading Coins they are the same
concept as regular ATCs but as a 2 1/2" circle shape.

Want a discount? Use code TJ10Jeanne for 10% off at Technique Junkies!

My first ATC uses Never Stop Making Wishes along with Shimmering Bliss in Mixed Metals (Topper) and Mardi Gras Purple. I added dimension to the flowers with Nuvo drops.

My next ATC uses Enjoy The Ride (set of 6) along with Shimmering Bliss in Harvest Sunset and Mermaid.

My last ATC uses Throw Kindness along with Shimmering Bliss in Thulian Pink, Just Squeezed and Dazzle (Topper). I used a number of colors of Nuvo Drops for my "confetti".

Sunflowers, Two Ways

Hi Technique Junkie Fans!

Hello Everyone!

The calendar says summer, but the school year says fall.  It is that time of year to head back to school and that means pumpkin spice is right around the corner!  I pulled out my sunflower stamps to make some 'feeling a bit like fall' cards.  If you are planning on shopping, you can get 10% off your order using code TJ10LeeAnn.
You are probably wondering where the sunflower stamp is on the first card~

If you look closely, you can see the outline of the Single Sunflower stamp.  This is actually a Gel print.  I used various colors or acrylic ink and the Scribble Mask Stencil from A
Colorful Life on my gel plate.  When I was happy with my results, I carefully pressed the Single Sunflower image into the plate and lifted it off, removing the top layer of paint.  I took my print and let it dry.
I really like how this turned out.  I kept it simple and just heat embossed the sentiment from the Sunflower Sentiments set.

The next card is completely different!

I used a technique that Jennifer McGuire has shared, called 'fast watercoloring'.  The flower and leaves were heat embossed in gold on watercolor paper.  Using distress inks, I literally just rubbed the ink to the flower- direct to paper.  Once I had my image covered with ink, I spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry.  Once completely dry, I fussy cut out the flower and leaves.  I assembled them, along with a couple of die cuts onto a die cut hoop wreath.  The sentiment, Always Be There, was stamped with the MISTI for perfect placement.

That's it for me!  Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget, you can get 10% off of your entire order (excluding clearance) with code TJ10LeeAnn.

Happy crafting!

Lee Ann
