We have two adorable long-hair doxies in our family, so today project is a soft spot for this stamper. Our older dog is getting more comfortable wearing a winter jacket when we step outside, so this clothed dog stamp is just perfect to have for the holidays.

Here's my project for today!

Supplies:

• Ho-Ho-Ho Doxie
• Simple Sentiments 1b
• Nuvo Glitter Marker - Blushing Carmine
• Memento Ink in Love Letter, Bamboo Leaves, Cottage Ivy, and Rich Cocoa
• White cardstock 5-1/4 x 5-1/4 inches
• Kraft cardstock 5-1/2 x 11, plus scrap for the tag
• Green Baker's Twine
• 1/16" Hole Punch
• Glue

Instructions:

1. Stamp doxie on white cardstock in random colors and directions.
2. Add a frame around the border with Glitter Marker then wrap with twine.
3. Stamp the sentiment in Rich Cocoa and hole punch to tie on with twine wrapped around the stamped background.
4. Glue to kraft card base.

TJ Inkspirations: Day 26 of 30: Glimmer Paste Stenciled Candle

I created this tutorial last year, and somewhere I lost it - so I am really pleased to pull it out of my archives to show you! Day 26 of the 30 Days of Christmas: Poinsettia Candle

My project for Day 26 of the 30 days of Christmas is right out of the video: The Poinsettia Candle. This is the kind of thing I would put inside a gift basket with other items to give it a personal touch. The Candle uses Gold and Silver Nuvo Glimmer Paste with the Poinsettia Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I hope you are a little inkspired by today's issue. See you next week! 30 Days of Christmas - Day 25 : Merry Christmas

It's Day 25 of our 30 Day of Christmas Celebration!!

For my project I used the brand new Carved Relief Background, the berries are from Seasons Greetings Set and the sentiment is from Merry Christmas 2.

Stamp the background on a piece of white cardstock in Chocolate Ink, then stamp on top with Versamark Watermark and add Clear Embossing Powder.

Blend brown ink colors on panels, then add Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper, set aside to dry.

Stamp berries on a piece of watercolor paper in Chocolate Ink, color image with Color Burst, fuzzy cut image, then add Nuvo Drops, set aside.

Die-cut background panel and adhere it to a white card base with foam tape.

Stamp sentiment on a white piece of cardstock and adhere it to card.

Add berry image with foam tape.

Add a little bit of gold thread behind the berries.

Card done!!

30 Days of Christmas - Day 24

I love the gorgeous Green of Luscious Lawn Shimmering Mist for Holiday card designs.  

I used the Shimmering Mist with the Flowing Drops Stencil from A Colorful Life to create my background.  It's a large stencil, so I was able to create a 5"x7" card base.

I stamped Technique Junkies Vintage Merry Christmas in coordinating Green Ink and die cut with a Postage Stamp Die.  I finished with a wrap of Green Seam Binding and a big Christmas bow.

After I sprayed my stencil, I used a second piece of cardstock to soak-up the excess spray ... that gave me two backgrounds to use.

This card uses the second background (and a had enough background left for a third card if I want).

I added a Polaroid camera die (because in our family, many of our childhood Christmas memories involve Polaroid photos).  I added the Technique Junkies All is Calm Sentiment and one of the snowflakes from the new Technique Junkies Snowflakes Stamp Set.

30 Days of Christmas Day 23

Hello and welcome to the 30 Days of Christmas.  Are you inspired by all the beautiful cards from the design team?

I had a lot of fun making this card.

Steps:

1. Find a piece of designer paper that isn't busy, such as the blended colours one I used.  You can blend colours onto your own paper to create your own background.
2. Using white embossing powder, heat emboss your background using the stamp above called Christmas Whimsy Background.
3. Cut your squares at 1" pieces and adhere to a piece of white cardstock measuring  4 1/2" x 3 1/4".
4. Adhere your cardstock to a pieces of white cardstock  4 3/4" x 3 1/2".
5. Use a coordinating colour of cardstock, size 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", to mat your card.

A Beautiful Snowflake - Day 22 of the 30 Days of Christmas

It is the wonderful season of the 30 Days of Christmas for Technique Junkies from October 15 to November 13.   There is a 20% discount on all Christmas Stamps on the Technique Junkies web store!  

I inked and stamped the large snowflake from Technique Junkies Snowflakes with white pigment ink.  Then it was heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I burnished the circle around the snowflake with navy blue dye based ink.  The greeting from Technique Junkies Gifts of Christmas  was first inked with Versamark ink, and then inked with the navy blue ink before stamping on the card stock.  I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set.  Everything was spritzed with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper. What a wonderful shimmer!
