Holy Night Stars Stencil

Good morning, Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing a quick and easy Christmas card.  Did you notice that two of the new release stamps from Technique Junkies have coordinating stencils to go with them?  I paired the new Brightly Shining stamp with the Shining Star stencil for my card today.

I started by brushing some Speckled Egg Distress ink through the Shining Star stencil onto white cardstock, and then I lightly brushed some more of the same ink all around the background.  I stamped the Brightly Shining sentiment with the Speckled Egg Distress ink onto another sheet of white cardstock, cut it out with an oval die, and then brushed some ink around the edges while the paper was still inside the oval die.  Some silver cording was tied around the card and I affixed the oval sentiment with some foam tape.

I hope this inspires you to make a quick little stash of Christmas cards.  There's just a little over two months til the big day is here!

Gnome for Christmas

Good Saturday morning on this beautiful fall morning.  We are getting ready to go on a trail ride in our side by side to see some beautiful fall colors.

This morning it is my turn on the Techniques blog, as guest designer, to post to share a couple of cute/pretty holiday cards that I designed with the new October fall release.

Using one of the cute gnomes from Gnome for Christmas, I made a Christmas card using a library card that I had in my stash, colored the gnome with copic markers fussy cut him out and popped him up on a couple of pretty design papers for the holidays.  my sentiment came from the same set and I thought that it was fitting for this library card.  I distressed the library card a bit with some antique linen distress ink and a pair of scissors.  I knew I saved the library cards for a reason.

My next card

was made using Wise Men  which is a beautiful stand alone stamp, and using the Cloud Edger Stencil  I made the backgound with three various colors of distress oxide inks using my blending brushes. I watched a quick from Pat Huntoons blog on some tips in using this beautiful stencil.

TJ Inkspirations: Stenciled Ghosts and Clouds

I have fallen in love with the Marvelous Masks made by A Colorful Life Designs. Each set includes 4 masks and 4 stencils in varying sizes. There are many different shapes  to choose from: hearts, ornaments, circles, squares, rectangles, stars - you name it.

I have fallen in love with the Ghosties! I was playing with them and this idea popped in my head, so of course I had to share it with you. I combined the Marvelous Mask Ghosties with the Cloud Edger for this fun tutorial.

And here are the artwork pieces made from the tutorial:

And here is how we made these:

I hope you are a little inkspired by today's issue. See you next week!

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Hello, and welcome, Lynda Joy here.
It's my turn to post on the TJ blog.
I love this stamp from the new release.
When I saw it I immediately new it had
to be made with purple and gold.
So, here it is!

I used the Wise Men image, and stamped and embossed it onto eggplant card stock.  I layered that onto gold, then did a little more layering for a square card.

It's easy, quick, and oh, so elegant with all that regal gold!

I hope you have enjoyed this release of fabulous stamps.  Today is the last day for the 15% discount on the new release stamps.  Of course, you can always add my discount code for an additional 10% off your entire order.
Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings,

Sandy Little Christmas Card

Hello fellow stamp lovers, it's Beverly with you today.  I always say there are few rubber stamps I have met which I didn't love (and I have the collection to prove it).  But there are also certain images like flamingos I am super crazy about.  When I saw the new October Sandy Christmas, it flew into my shopping cart!  After coloring the Sandy Christmas image, I paired it with patterned paper and washi tape for a quick card.

I stamped the inside with the new Inside Out: 12 Cookies Set of 10 Stamps.  What I loved about this set is how you can use it for the insides of your cards OR for the front as well.

Be sure to check out all the new October release stamps (plus other Technique Junkies stamps).  If you use the above code you can take 10% off your order too!  Woo Hoo!  So put those comfy pants on and grab your beverage of choice and SHOP!

Love it when I get Christmas cards knocked off my list. Mine are all different, so I love it when I have a great variety of stamps to work with. The October release has some awesome options. I used a couple of them to make today's snarky Christmas card.

BAH HUMBUG (SD1044)
INSIDE OUT: 12 COOKIES (SS125)

You will get so much use out of these sets...the inside out set has 10 stamps included:

Look at all those sentiments! Rather than doing one sentiment on the outside and one on the inside, I opted to use both on the outside and I will put a sweet greeting on the inside.

I used the character from Bah Humbug (I simply trimmed off the sentiment, but you could mask it if you don't like doing stamp surgery).

I love the look of kraft cardstock and thought it went along perfectly with this style of card. I stamped the critter on white cardstock and cut it out, attaching it with foam tape. The sentiments were stamped directly on the card base, and I added a hand-drawn border for a little more whimsy.

Don't forget....you only have until the 8th of this month to save that extra 15% off the new releases, so you may want to order quickly! PLUS...you can save an extra 10% off your WHOLE PURCHASE by entering my special code below:

And if you are one of those Gotta Have It All peeps (guilty!), you can get the whole release for a very significant savings! Normal value is $144.78, but it can be yours for only $108.59. That's a $36.19 savings!

The set even includes two brand new stencils! How fun!

Hope you are inspired to get busy on your holiday cards! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this release!

Til next time,
Keepin' it inky!

Holy Night Silent Night

Wow, what an awesome release, eh? (sorry, I'm Canadian and say "eh" all the time).  I hope you had the chance to view the new release work from the Design Team.  My dimensional card uses Holy Night Silent Night to signify a very important event in the village of Bethlehem, of which was added using die cuts.

Using pale blue cardstock, I blended three colours of blue ink onto the cardstock; leaving the ink to air dry over night  (as I made multiples of this card), then added Bethlehem dies.  Once they were in place, I added Holy Night Silent Night with white embossing powder.

All of the October 2020 New Release stamps are 15% off through October 8th! We can all use a little bargain, right? No codes needed, just put them in your shopping cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.
