 My girl here needs a new maid! Seriously, who LIKES to clean? Not me! This stamp was inspired by actual events. The Girl is from the You've Got This set; the Washed and New Maid stamps are from the current release.

Four Cards - Easy Great Technique!

Today we are using 2 sets and a background stamp to create 4 fun penguin-themed cards. We use 6 of the inks from the Beach Retreat Catherine Pooler Ink Collection to create a purple, blue and green color scheme that is wonderful for winter. Short Girls

 Hello Junkies!

I'm loving this new release by Technique Junkies.  This stamp captured my heart right away.   My sister is short.  Everyone in my family has several inches on her.  It has been a long running family joke.  She is short, but strong and fierce.  You will hear her before you see her and it is all packed into a small little container.   This stamp sums her up.  Do you know someone this stamp would work for?

All About Winter and Snowflakes

I love winter! The clothes, the snow…I love it all! This All About Winter background stamp release this month is perfect for creating quick and lovely cards. I used Shimmering Bliss for the background and then stamped the sentiment using my Misti. To add some more interest, I used a felt snowflake, a metal snowflake and a giant gem brad. This is one of my favorite cards I made for this release. I wish you could see the shimmer better!

Gnome for Christmas (SS126) 

Stamped and embossed in white onto Kraft cardstock.

Then layered.  The Gnomes were fussy cut out. (they are so darn cute)

The next card was a quick one, again using the All about Winter stamp.

This was stamped and embossed on vellum

Layered onto some sparkly paper along with sparkly

snowflakes.

Determined to Rise

 

I decided to use a monochromatic theme with this card. The background is Beaded Curtain and stamped with blue dye based ink.  Determined to Rise is the focal image layered above the background.  Dye cut layered leaves were added for interest.

Winter Gnome Shaker

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I've got a fun winter shaker card for y'all today.  I used some stamps from Technique Junkies and lots of sequins to create this infinity shaker card.  I started by stamping the the new All About Winter background in blue ink onto some white cardstock.  Then I pulled out the sentiment from the Let's Chill set and stamped it with the same blue ink onto another piece of white cardstock.

I stamped the gnome from the Gnome for Christmas set with a black Copic-friendly ink and let it dry for a few minutes before I colored it.  I colored the gnome in shades of blue to go with the sequins and the blue sentiments.  

To make the infinity shaker, I put double sided adhesive on all four sides of the back of the stamped background panel.  I cut some plastic from a discarded package and adhered it to three of the adhesive edges, leaving one edge open.  With that one end opened, I poured in some sequins, and then I taped that edge shut.  I added more adhesive to the back of this shaker panel and adhered it to a white card base.

With the shaker card part done, I trimmed down the "Let's Chill" sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card.  I fussy cut the gnome and adhered him next to the sentiment on the front of the shaker card.  All that's left to do is write something on the inside of the card and mail it off to a dear friend.
