Twisted Encouragements

Hi Junkies!  (Chris on the blog today)

If you follow me at all...you know I love a good laugh.   Technique Junkies is great at coming up with some silly sentiments.   These are great to send as thinking of you or encouragement cards.    Hopefully they give the recipient of the card a little chuckle.   Do you have a favorite sentiment in this set? Cat Nap

 Hello Junkies!  (Chris here)

You all know I'm an animal lover.  I can admit that there are times that I didn't get up because I was getting puppy cuddles.  We have to have our priorities right?  Cuddles first.. then housework!  I know I have a few cat loving friends who would get a kick out of this card.   Click here to see how this fun fold works.

The Maid Sucks (Haha)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought I'd pop in... just in case you needed a little humor today.

Housework is never fun! Why do housework, when you can make cards, right?  Well I couldn't escape it forever, so we had a clean-a-thon this weekend.  The only dog hair in our house is on the dog at the moment.  I love this new stamp from Technique Junkies.   It fits me perfectly.

The top card reminds me of when you wash the windows and it leaves streaks.  At least when the sunshines it creates a beautiful rainbow.  😂   The second card was a "mistake" when I was trying to make a coffee background. I thought it looked like hair.... so I used it for this card.

I hope they give you a chuckle!

Short Girls

 Hello Junkies!

I'm loving this new release by Technique Junkies.  This stamp captured my heart right away.   My sister is short.  Everyone in my family has several inches on her.  It has been a long running family joke.  She is short, but strong and fierce.  You will hear her before you see her and it is all packed into a small little container.   This stamp sums her up.  Do you know someone this stamp would work for?

You're not old...

 Hello Junkies!

Masculine cards can be such a challenge to make.  These new vintage stamps make them really easy.  I used a spotlight technique to highlight the man in the collage stamp.   I used the sentiment strip to ground the image.   It makes for a really fast and easy card.  This would be a great card to mass produce to have several masculine cards on hand.

One Great Dude but is he still Wrong?

Good day! Pam here with your Saturday dose of Technique Junkies goodness!
My first creation was done using Stud Muffins (set of 5). I stamped the image on parchment card stock in black and then paper pieced his outfit. I added some T.H. washi tape and the sentiment is on dimensionals. The mat is done in blue to match his pants and the base is white.

For my second card, I used a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop called Tree Paradise and the sentiment is new this month called No Woman to Hear. To hold the stencil down, I used Pixie spray which you can purchase from TJ. It is THE BEST STUFF. Using a variety of inks, I sponged the color on and then did the same for the sentiment.

I would have to say that the man IS still wrong!!!! Haha!!!
