Happy New Year

Hello Junkies!  

Today I stepped (more of a creep than a leap) outside my comfort zone.  When I think Navy I usually think silver.   I've seen a lot of other card makers using gold with Navy.  I was inspired to give it try.  I have to say I LOVE it!  What do you think?  Do you have color hangups?

Pam here again today! I wanted to share 2 of my favorites this year.

My first card is showcasing the Side Butterfly and I think it pairs beautifully with this paper and the sentiment is from Simple Sentiments.

For my second creation I used the Holly bouquet and a sentiment from the Gifts of Christmas. This card was the first time I stamped this image and I mistakenly thought the pink portion colored in was a rose. Nope....but I will call it one!

Butterfly Beauty

Happy Wednesday and only days away from Christmas! The cards I am featuring today uses one of my fave images....the butterfly and were done using the Butterfly Beauty, Wedding Wishes and Four Little Sentiments. I did both of these butterflies by spraying distress inks in fossilized amber and pealed paint.....I mixed the colors more and turned them kind of mudding in second card. After spraying the inks onto mat, I added some water and then stamped the butterfly in the colors and onto watercolor paper. Super easy quick and addicting! So today I am sharing a card I made using the Deep Sea collage

stamp - (ssshhhh one of my favs this year)and the saying

from the Lessons from the Ocean stamp....

Made a bit of a spotlight card highlighting the center panel

Using distress inks for colour and my Nuvo glitter gloss pen

for some sparkles

Some fine silver threads under the middle panel and around the 

green layer background

Stressed the edges of the black layer - glued on a couple of 

dew drops.  And there we go -

Our Campfire

 

 The background was created with an embossing flder and the raised parts were highlighted with a very dense foam sponge.  The feature image is called  Our Campfire and is from the July   temperaturerelease.  It was stamped withblack Memento ink and or was added with Copic markers.

Snowflakes on a Diagonal

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  Do you have snow outside your window right now?  I don't have any yet, but we do have some freezing cold weather coming our way later on this week.  I'm ready to hunker down and enjoy some hot cocoa and snuggle under a blanket.

I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets from Technique Junkies called Snowflakes and played around with them.  On a white card base, I blended some pale blue ink in the upper left corner.  Then I randomly stamped the different snowflakes in different colors in a diagonal line.  I left just enough white space on the bottom half of the card so I could stamp the sentiment.  Both the snowflakes and the sentiment are from the Snowflakes set.
