Bird Lover

Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you ever had a card design in mind then somehow the card turns into something totally different?  That’s what happened today.  

I had a nice piece of watercolor paper with a light blue wash on it and thought that’d be perfect for this stamp set.  Well, after I stamped the “Find your song and sing it” upside down…that’s where it all changed.

To my left I saw a pretty piece of floral paper.  I grabbed that for the background.  Then I simply cut the two stamped pieces, put black behind them for a frame and adhered them to the pretty paper.  It still needed something so I dug into my birdie stash of supplies and found the silver feather (they have a bag of gold or silver feathers at my local crafty dollar store).

The last thing I decided to do was add a little color to the bird.

Cancer Sucks

 Hello! 

No one likes making these cards but sadly we all have friends and family that are battling cancer.   I'm always on the lookout for stamps to make cards that I can show support and most importantly make them smile.  I love this new set from Technique Junkies.   It has a little mix of everything.    I added glitter to the ribbon on the second card.  I'm not sure if I like it or not.  What do you think?

Advice From A Wildflower

 

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!  Design Team Michael here with a simple and beautiful card for that person who loves flowers and, especially, wildflowers.  I have a friend who is an avid gardener, she loves wildflowers, and her birthday is next week.  So I made her a card using the new Advice From a Wildflower stamp, which is part of the April 2024 New Stamp Release.  

• I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock.
• I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, which I adhered to the inside of the card where I will write my birthday message to her. 
• I used the same 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die to cut part of a wildflower paper from my stash. 
• I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back and then to the card front. 
• I stamped Advice From a Wildflower on white cardstock and die-cut it using a rectangle die.
• I layered this on a piece of red cardstock and then to the card front.  
• Lastly, I adhered a few red enamel dots and a red heart enamel dot.
