I love the Emboss Resist Technique ... to me it's always like magic, because you never quite know what the end result will look like until it dries and you wipe away the ink (I like to use baby wipes to really make the embossed texture below shine).
The
Batik Background stamp is perfect for some Emboss Resist experimenting with Shimmering Bliss Sprays. Remember, you can use my discount code

I stamped the Technique Junkies Batik Background in White & Green Ink. clear embossed, and then sprayed both with
Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss Spray.
Clearly the white produced the effect I was hoping for ... the green, not so much. But the lesson here is that just because an experiment didn't turn out like you were hoping for ... doesn't mean it was a failure.
As I looked at the green and blue background, I thought what pretty leaves that design would make.
So I stamped the
Batik Background in Dark Green ink on a lighter green cardstock for my card base. Next I die cut
Tim Holtz Skeleton Leaves from the emboss resist background and positioned them on the background.
As you could see in the first picture, I always stamp on and spray a slightly larger piece of paper than my stamped image, so I have a sprayed background for my sentiment.
I love how those colors blend together.
Here's what the inside says ... having experienced kidney stones myself, I can confirm that pain is like no other.
I just love the rich shimmer of this color when paired with the copper glitter paper.
Hope I've given you some ideas for how to use this gorgeous Batik stamps ... and emboss resist. The shimmer from the
Shimmering Bliss is amazing.
