For the Love of Coffee

Today's card is brought to you by my caffeinated brain! I think the Love Laughter and Coffee stamps pairs perfectly with the Coffee paper from my stash from long ago. I lightly colored the coffee paper in the background with colored pencils. This one is simple, but effective!

Smallest Bell...

Hi there!  Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Technique Junkies!

It's my day to post here on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I'd like to share a beautiful card that I created, using some gorgeous November release products!

This card was another easy, clean and simple (CAS) card. To create this card, I used the new release Technique Junkies Jingle Bell Stencil, and 'SD1046 Joyful Jingle', from the October release. After cutting the panel to size, I placed the stencil over the panel, and applied Versamark Ink. I quickly sprinkled on some silver embossing powder, and used my heat gun to get this beautiful silver shine. To finish off this panel, I added a strip of Silver Washi Tape.  The sentiment was stamped onto the blue cardstock with Versamark Ink, and was heat embossed in silver, as well. This panel was then adhered to the focal panel.

Technique Junkies products make such beautiful cards!

Faith and Warm Wishes

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and Christmas is right around the corner. Are you ready?  I've been keeping busy in my craft room making seasonal cards and I have two to share with you today.

FALL LEAVES (S864)
LOVE, FAITH & PEACE (SS123)

I am so in love with these stamp sets! The Fall Leaves background just seems to sing to me and beg for beautiful colors. And the sentiments in Love, Faith and Peace are so timely and encouraging.

To create this card, I began with a white piece of cardstock and stamped the leaves image using Versamark, then embossed with a gold glitter embossing powder. I used the Ink Blending Brushes to add some beautiful color with Distress Oxide Inks in Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Fired Brick. Then I added a gorgeous shimmer with some Just Squeezed Shimmering Bliss. After trimming the panel down I added a mustard cardstock mat and attached it to an A2 Kraft cardstock base. Using some rust cardstock, I created a banner and attached that to the card. On the mustard CS I stamped the Faith sentiments and trimmed them to the desired shapes with an oval die (Faith) and scissors. I inked the edges with Distress Oxide Ink and added them to the card along with a couple of enamel dots.

The next card I have to share with you is a Christmas one.

POINSETTIAS (SS099)

This set is just beautiful for the holidays. It includes a large and small poinsettia and two sentiments.

I selected the smaller of the images, stamped it using Versafine Clair Ink in Nocturne. I then colored it using colored pencils and cut it out. The sentiment was stamped onto some gold vellum using the same ink. The piece was torn across the top and bottom and adhered on the sides only to an embossed background panel of dark green cardstock. Those were attached to an A2 card base. I cut out a frame from metallic green CS and placed that on top of the layered card. The Poinsettia was attached using foam tape.

So, there ya have it. I hope I was able to give you a little inspiration and encouragement with my projects today. Don't forget you can save 10% off all products through Technique Junkies by adding my code at checkout:

I am wishing you and your loved ones a safe and loving Thanksgiving Day. Stay healthy, stay positive.

Til next time,

Technique Junkie Pine Bough and Love, Laughter, and Coffee

I have a couple more cards to share with you from Technique Junkie November release.  What a fun month this has been to work with some awesome stamps as "guest designer".  The first card is :

I used Coffee Stain Background and Love, Laughter, andCoffee for this gift/card combination.  I had some pretty little decorated bags left from last year so I decided to make a gift.  There is a cute little coffee shop we love to visit and they sell small bags of flavored coffees so I always have a couple flavors on hand.  I stamped the Coffee Stain Background on a piece of ecru cardstock.  I stamped the Love, Laughter, and Coffee on the same color cardstock and fussy cut it out.  I stamped "But you can buy Coffee" a second time, cut it out and popped it up over the original saying.  Mounted on a darker brown cardstock , applied to the bag with some "coffee" colored ribbon and I am taking this to a friend this week as she has been slightly under the weather.

For my second card I went with the beautiful Pine Bough embossed in gold, mounted on a die cut gold/silver cardstock and then mounted again on gold for my card base.  This makes such a pretty Christmas card so I went with the Merry Christmas from The Gifts of Christmas  the font is so pretty and fitting for this beautiful pine bough.

I used Woodland Wonders and stamped it in brown pigment ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I did the same for the verse from Acceptance/Respect/Peace.   The color in the background was added with Harvest Sunset Shimmering Bliss and Vivid Volt Shimmering Bliss.

If you want to see them all here they are!  And if you just "Gotta have them all!"  You can do that too at a 25% discount making it $99 for EVERYTHING!!! Whoo hoo! The Coffee beans and the champagne flutes are stencils.

Beauty of Snowflakes

Hi Junkies!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this shimmery, frosty snowflake card.  We rarely get snow where I live, so I love seeing and creating cards with snowflakes on them.  I started by stamping the snowflakes from the Snowflakes set from Technique Junkies in three different colors all over some white cardstock.  I used a soft blue ink, a kraft ink, and a darker brown ink.  To add some shimmer, I sprayed some of the gorgeous Mixed Metals Shimmering Bliss spray from Technique Junkies all over the snowflakes.  It's so glittery and shiny as you can see from the close up picture below.

After the snowflake background was completely dry, I cut it with a rectangular die and added the sentiment on the side.  The sentiment is called Beauty of Winter, also from Technique Junkies.  If you have winter weather where you live, enjoy the beauty of it all.

November Release Woodland Wonders Cards

Beverly here today sharing with you one of my favorite new November releases called Woodland Wonders.  This is a wonderful background stamp which is fun to color with markers or heat emboss in one color.  Since I am staying at home to stay safe from Covid-19, I am mailing lots of Thanksgiving cards this year.  I stamped Woodland Wonders on white cardstock with brown ink and then colored with alcohol markers.  I added simple die cut and label maker sentiments which gave me a fast and easy card.

On this card I heat embossed Woodland Wonders on white cardstock with white embossing powder.  Next I did ink blending with Distress Oxide ink pads over the heat embossed images.  When finished, wipe the embossing gently to remove any ink.  I stamped the November release Always Thankful on vellum and attached it to the front of the card base with small white brads.  Another easy card for my Thanksgiving stash.  I can't wait to mail all my Thanksgiving cards to friends and family.

Remember if you want to save an extra 10% on your Technique Junkies order to use the code above.  It's been fun sharing my cards with you today with the pretty new November stamps.  Stay safe.

TJ Inkspirations: Marvelous Mask Stencil Magic

Today's video shows you how to make 3 different card projects using the Marvelous Mask Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. Each of the cards has a coordinating kit - pictures of the cards and the kits follow, as does the video.

I really should have made this into three tutorials/videos. It is the longest I have ever made, but the topic seemed to work best as one video. If you want to see a specific card, they start here:
MM Deckled Rectangles Pines: :22
MM Rectangles Poinsettias 10:59
MM Ornaments Snowflakes 18:31

Perk up soon!

I think this little owl is so sweet! What a fun get-well card for a fellow coffee drinker. I dug out my Aladine Diamonds in Marron (sorry, I do not sell these any longer - but I still like to use what I have!) and put them through the Coffee Beans Stencil. The top part of the card uses the Coffee Stains stamp in brown. I love the way colored pencils just pop where I colored the owl on this brown paper.

Love, Laughter and Coffee

Hello fellow stampers!

Most coffee cards are done in brown tones with coffee bean or coffee stain stamps.  I took a different take on it by doing mine up in pink, white and brown.

Using Love Laughter and Coffee, I selected markers in pinks and browns.  Placing my stamp onto a misti, I proceeded to colour each section and pressing out the stamp.  Each section was repeated numerous times to achieve bold lettering.

Once I was happy with my lettering, brown matting was added as well as a pink banner.  My background was dry embossed.

Have a great week ahead!

Thanks for stopping by.

Fat Pants with Flatware

Oh yeah, baby! It is almost turkey time! I love a good Thanksgiving feast as much as the next chick. We all have our favorite part of the meal, don't me?  By far, my favorite thing is a good stuffing. I make it from scratch, like my mom did, and it has lots of yummy sausage in it. It is flavorful and the best part of the meal! Plus it makes the best leftovers. You are all welcome to come here and have some! (Don't we wish?)

My card today celebrates the feast part of the meal. My snarky Fat Pants stamp is one of my favorites, too. (I just keep picturing eating dinner in yoga pants.) I thought the Flatware stamp was a perfect backdrop for this stamp. To color it, I just swiped Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks directly on the rubber, then stamped it. Easy Peasy!

So tell me, what is your favorite part (food-wise) of Thanksgiving?

Watercolor Leaf Card

Greetings!  Lynda Joy here, with my Technique Junkies blog post for this Sunday.  My card is a little bit different, in that I used a real leaf to create the main image.
I used a verse from the Acceptance, Respect, Peace Set of Five from the November release.

To make my card, I used Distress spray stain, and added colors to a leaf I had found on my walk.  I pressed the ink-sprayed leaf onto a piece of light kraft card stock.

When I removed the leaf, I used a water brush to pull some of the ink from the image into the areas that didn't get any color with the initial 'stamping.'

I added more distress ink and a water brush around the image to create a rough background, then added some spatters of ink.

I stamped the verse from the Acceptance, Respect, Peace Set and added it to a die frame, then layered up my card.

I hope you have been enjoying this release and the cards from our design

team.

I have a 2 minute video tutorial for you to follow along, and a little kit in case you would like the pieces to color your own trees.  The trees just seem to glow when colored this way...
