Deb here with a card featuring 2 of the latest releases from Technique Junkies . There are 14 great stamps/stamp sets in this release and they are 15% off through September 8th - no code required. For this card, I used Small Creature and Squirrel on Branch .

  • I adhered a piece of Autumn plaid patterned paper to a Kraft card base.
  • The squirrel image was stamped on Kraft cardstock with Rich Cocoa Memento ink .I left room under the image to adhere the sentiment.
  • I cut the squirrel panel with a Double Stitched Rectangle die.
  • The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock with Cottage Ivy Memento ink and trimmed to fit under the squirrel .
  • I colored the branch and pine boughs with my COPICS.
  • The squirrel panel was adhered to the plaid paper.
  • The sentiment was adhered below the squirrel.
  • I placed several brown and green rhinestones on the pine boughs.

This card definitely gave me Autumn vibes after the crazy hot summer we have had. Mornings here are nice and cool and greatly appreciated. I hope you like my card and will be inspired to create some of your own.

Chrysanthemum Season

Good day! I am in Colorado and the weather is still like summertime. It is hard to believe it is fall. However, the telltale signs are here. The trees are beautiful and people have their mums out in all their glory!
This Chrysanthemum Corner stamp is fabulous to create a lovely card! I stamped it on heather gray card stock in black and then used a sentiment from Lavender Friendship sentiments (they fit perfectly snug in the right spot!). I added 3 tiny strips of washi tape and colored the mums in daffodil delight. Matted in black and mounted on a white card base.
Don't forget to check out our new releases for October which will be happening on the 2nd of October!

Box of Crayon Leaves

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  It alllllmost feels like fall here, because the mornings are just a tiny bit cooler and crisper than they have been over the past four months.  We are still in the 90's in the afternoons, so it's not quite there yet, but I do think there is some hope for some cool fall weather on the horizon.  So with that in mind, I had a lot of fun with today's card.

I stamped the new Leaves background from Technique Junkies with a dark brown permanent ink onto some white cardstock and let it dry.  Then I had a blast watercoloring the leaves in various shades of yellow, orange, red, green, and magenta.  While this was drying, I stamped the sentiment from the Autumn set (Technique Junkies) with the same dark brown ink I used for the background.  That sentiment says it all, and it really does look like I used all the crayons in the box to color those leaves, doesn't it?  LOL

Please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, when you shop at Technique Junkies.  You'll save 10% off your entire order, so grab this beautiful new Leaves Background stamp and check out all the great fall stamps from this month's release HERE.  Have a great day!

A Gel Plate Autumn

My creation today was done by brayering some fall color acrylic paints onto the gel plate and then stamped the Leaves Background onto the plate. Next, I brayered a thin layer of white acrylic paint onto the gel plate. Lastly, I pulled the print using a piece of white card stock. I absolutely love the look I got! I stamped the Pumpkin Spice sentiment in a deep red and distressed the sentiment panel by sponging. Matted with the same color and put both on a white card base.

Greatest Oak

  Greetings Junkies!

Encouragement cards are some of my favorite to make and send.  It is nice to send little reminders that we are thinking about our friends and family.  These two stamps combine together perfectly.

I used the tombow markers to give the acorns a two-tone look.

Autumn Colors Outside the Lines

 Happy Hump Day!
This is my first time posting on the designer blog!
I am bringing you a card using the Leaf Collage (#S912) and my sentiment is from
Things I Want To Do (#S546).
I started with a piece of watercolor paper in my Misti. I added the color to the stamp with Daffodil delight, soft suede, poppy parade and pumpkin pie. Before stamping, I spritzed it with water. I tend to gravitate towards a distressed look. Next, I ripped the corners and distressed all the edges...on the mat, too. Then I added some daffodil delight to the edges. The sentiment was stamped on watercolor paper, too. I added 3 tan shimmery pearls to finish it off.

Fall is my favorite season!
Enjoy the day!

Ideas for Background Stamps | Easy Window Card

Give your projects a little variety when it comes to using your background stamps! One way to create variety is to simply add a window. You don’t need special fancy acetate sheets (if you don’t have them); simply use a deli container or any clear flat packaging. Using Archival Ink, stamp your background on a pre-cut white card panel. Today, I am using the “Pile of Leaves” background stamp from Technique Junkies.

The "Pile of Leaves" stamp is part of the September 2021 NEW Release! You can save 10% every day at Technique Junkies with my personal coupon code to YOU: Use TJ10ERIN at checkout!

Use washi tape to temporarily adhere the stamped panel onto the front of your actual card base. Open up the card base and die cut a circle or other shape out of the front of the card. Then, remove the white stamped panel and glue the acetate (or clear plastic) to the back. It won’t matter that you can see the glue; it will be hidden when you adhere it to the card.

You can add any sentiment inside the card you want. I added a simple “Thank You” stamped image and embossed in white. To get my placement just right, I used my stamping platform and I also used the packaging from the stamp to help line up the sentiment on the platform. I wanted to make sure you could see the entire sentiment through the window, even when the card was closed.

I wanted to add one single colored leaf over top of the outline-stamped pile of leaves. So, I used some Shimmering Bliss Spray on some scrap cardstock and after the spray was dry, I stamped the background stamp on top. Then, I fussy-cut out one single leaf from the spray-inked paper.

The leaf was going to hang over the window a little bit, which was a nice touch. But when a leaf accent hangs over the window in the front, that means that you will also see the back side of the leaf accent through the window when the card is open. So I stamped again on a second piece of inky paper and glued it to the inside of the card, against the leaf showing through.

For a finishing touch, I added some metal corner embellishments. And that’s it!

Thank you for looking!

Autumn Collage Card Set

Hi Junkies, it's Holly posting today.  Is it feeling like fall where you are yet?  This week the early morning temperatures have been down around 67 and 66, and it feels wonderful!  Then it heats up to 97 and reminds us that it's still summer here.  LOL  I've been enjoying the cool temps by walking outside early in the morning while the sun is rising.  The leaves are not changing yet, but wouldn't it be wonderful if our leaves could look like the ones on these cards?

I pulled out some distress ink pads and randomly inked up the beautiful new Leaf Collage stamp from Technique Junkies.  I love all these color combinations!  I then paired them with different sentiments that I stamped on vellum.  I have listed the stamps and inks used in the pictures below.

Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Stormy Sky distress inks

Antique Linen, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers distress inks

Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Dried Marigold, Seedless Preserves distress inks

Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint distress inks

If you'd like to go shopping at Technique Junkies, please feel free to use this code, TJ10Holly, to save 10% off your order.  You will find hundreds of stamps in the store as well as stencils and Shimmering Bliss sprays and even some new glitter paint.  Have a great weekend!
