Sweet Snail with Whimsical Mushrooms

Hello Crafty friends,

Isn't this whimsical snail traveling through the mystical mushroom forest sweet?  It has a little zentangle magical twist to it doesn't it? I decided to keep the coloring to a minimum and make the card fairly simple by sticking with just 3 colors - red, black, and white. It's hard to go wrong with this color trio.

What you need:
White A2 card
Scrap piece of black card stock
Thinking of you sentiment (Mine is from Four Little Sentiments)
Adhesive
Foam (optional)
Black ink pad

Here's what I did to create this card...

Step 1-  Starting with my white card base I used the flowing drops stencil and Black Aladine IZINK 24 Carat Diamond glitter paint to create the background - then set aside to thoroughly dry.

Step 2 -  I stamped the Snail with whimsical mushrooms, colored parts of it using three shades of red/pink markers (you could use colored pencils), then fussy cut it out, added foam strips behind it, and adhered to card.

Step 3 -  I stamped the Thinking of you sentiment, matted it with black card stock and adhered it to the card.

When getting tools or products for card making I try to think of how many ways I can use that product in the future - not just for one card design. For example I used the  flowing drops stencil for the background on this card. It's very versatile and I use it often. A lot actually. It has beautiful movement and can be used with ink pads and your favorite stencil brush, with ink daubers, glittery paints like I used on this card, or other favorite stencil products you may already have.

I hope you enjoyed this card design. I appreciate you stopping by.

Comments always welcome.

Happy Crafting!

At the River #techniquejunkies

Hello! Tracy Shultz, the Hopeful Crafter, here today with a card featuring the new Technique Junkies "At the River" stamp: https://techniquejunkies.com/at-the-river/ and the Thank You sentiment from the previously "Four Little Sentiments" stamps: https://techniquejunkies.com/four-little-sentiments/   Save 10% off your Technique Junkies order using my code: TJ10Tracy

To create my card,  I stamped the image with Catherine Pooler Midnight ink. I then colored the image using Zig Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I trimmed the image using scissors. I cut a piece of turquoise cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. I heat embossed the sentiment using clear embossing powder. I embossed the cardstock using an waves embossing folder from my stash. I adhered the image using foam tape and then added a few clear gems. I adhered the panel to a navy blue card base size 4.25" x 5.5"
A close up photo of my card panel. The sentiment was heat embossed first. I then embossed the paper using a waves embossing folder from my stash.

Blooming Dandelions

Hi. Tracy Shultz, The Hopeful Crafter here, with a cheerful card using the new Blooming Dandelions https://techniquejunkies.com/blooming-dandelions/ stamp from Technique Junkies. This stamp is super cute and is part of the July 2022 new release: https://techniquejunkies.com/july-2022-new-stamp-release/

I created this card by first heat embossing the stamp with black embossing powder.  Then I colored the flowers with Karin Markers. I die cut this image with an oval die. I used a piece of light green paper and embossed it with a floral 3D embossing folder. I used a yellow ribbon across the middle of this. I used a piece of pattern paper with pretty yellow flowers as the layer between the embossed paper and the oval with the dandelions. I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment "Thinking of You" from the Four Little Sentiments https://techniquejunkies.com/four-little-sentiments/ stamp set onto a piece of green paper. I used the Deckle Trimmer to trim the sentiment and a white mat piece of paper to layer behind the sentiment. I adhered everything to a white card base.
