Leaves Turn Frame

Hello, Lynda Joy here, with some inspiration for a couple of the new September release stamps.  I was inspired by the upcoming fall season, which is my favorite time of year!  Our leaves have not started turning yet, but the ones on my card sure have.

I inked the leaves from the Autumn Framed Sentiments with distress ink minis, and stamped them onto a natural card stock panel.  I repeated inking and stamping with different fall colors, until I had created a frame of leaves.

I used a Dove blending tool to pull color from the outlines of the stamps, tinting the leaves slightly.

I stamped the  verse with Memento rich cocoa ink.  I thought a touch of gold was in order, so added some gold cording and some gold metallic pearls.  I attached the whole shebang to a rust colored A2 card front.  

That's it, easy-peasy, thanks to the amazing Autumn Framed Sentiments stamp set!  So many ways to use this.  And the sentiments included in the set are fabulous!

Framed Autumn

Hello Junkies!

It's Ceal, here to share with you today. Fall is my favorite season with the leaves tuning, warm days and cool nights but not too cold. I live in a place with lots of color in the fall like I colored the leaves on my card. It's a gorgeous time of year.

Leaves Turn

Autumn is fast approaching. One thing I love about the seasons changing is the beautiful colors Mother Nature has to offer. The Fall goes by so quickly though. I hope you follow the advice of this beautiful card and take time to watch the leaves turn.

I love the rich colors of Fall and it was so easy to bring them into my project using the products you see here:

My new favorite product, Pixie Spray, makes using stencils amazingly easy.  No more taping down your stencil. Spray your stencil back, let it dry 60 seconds, and it becomes lightly tacky. Just place your stencil down and ink away. Toss your tape! Even the intricate details of your stencil will gently adhere to your surface and remove without harming your paper. And these amazing Ink Blending Brushes make ink application so smooth and easy. I have ditched all my sponge daubers. No learning curve with these brushes...rub them in your ink and brush on just like you would apply makeup. They are soft bristles (not sponge) and clean up with just soap and water. And with ten brush sizes in the pack, there is one for every type of application from broad area to fine detail.

I used my Memento Inks when creating this project because my fabulous new Aladine IZink Ink Pads had not yet arrived. I like Memento, don't get me wrong, but these IZink pads are to dye for (pun intended...they are dye ink pads). They go on so beautifully creamy and smooth. You will see many projects with me using them in the future!

If you're curious how I created this seasonal card, here are the details.

I sprayed my Colorful Life Stencil (Big Leaves) with the Pixie Spray. On a piece of cream colored CS, I placed my stencil and inked the various colors using the brushes and Memento Ink. The images came out crisp and clean because the spray held down all the intricate parts while I brushed on the ink.  I added a generous spritz of Shimmering Bliss Spray (Imperial Yellow) and let it dry. I trimmed down the piece and distressed the edges, then added a brown mat and attached it to my card base.

The sentiment, Leaves Turn, was stamped on cream cardstock, and I added some colored highlights to some of the words using Kaisercraft Gel Pens.  That piece was then sprayed with Shimmering Bliss, trimmed and matted, then attached to the card.

To finish off the card, I added a few pearls.  If you look closely, you can see the beautiful shimmer and royal tones.

Leaves Turn

Hello, Kia here with you today. 

I am using a new stamp called Modern Foliage for my card today along with the sentiment called Leaves Turn. 

I took inspiration from the trees I see outside my window. The sun is getting lower and as it hits the trees in the late afternoon I see these beautiful colours. 

 Using Oxide inks I did smooshing on watercolour paper using cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, twisted citron and blueprint sketch. I then stamped the leaves on the background using VersaFine Clair ink in Green Oasis and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I used left over watercolour paper to stamp my sentiment, which is stamped in the green and heat embossed as well. 

For my card base I used peacock feather and cracked pistachio and a small amount of water to allow the ink to move as I smooshed it into my Neenah card base. I then attached the leaf panel along with the sentiment pieces to finish.

First, I must apologize. You haven't heard from me for a few weeks, and my absence is both professional and personal.  From a professional standpoint, the video editing program I have been using suddenly died on me, without hope of recovery, forcing me to learn a new editing program that is more complicated. The good news is that the videos will (should) be better as I master the program in the next few months!  From a personal standpoint, I have traveled every weekend in August (only once for personal reasons, the rest were trade shows) and the remainder of my time in the office has been overwhelmingly hectic.
