YOU ARE AMAZING

Hello everyone!!!

I'm in love with the face stamps from the Palettini collection from Technique Junkies Stamps and this one "Let's Face It 4" in particular.  Isn't she stunning?  I paired her with the sentiment "You Are Amazing", which I thought was so appropriate for this face.

Copic markers were used to color in the face.  If you like to color, these stamps are perfect for that, and this stamp really makes it easy to create a card for someone special.

If you'd like to purchase some stamps from the Palettini collection or ANY of the Technique Junkies stamps, use my personal discount code and enjoy a 10% discount on your entire order!  TJ10CHERI.

Sadly, I'm here with my last post for Technique Junkies Stamps.  I hope I've inspired you during the last 2 1/2 years I've been on this team of incredibly talented artists.  I feel so fortunate to have been among them.  And I thank Pat Huntoon for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

TJ Inkspirations: Shimmery Birthdays and Donuts

As many of you know, we exhibit at 20 or so retail rubber stamp and scrapbook shows per year. As such, we offer free make and takes at many of the shows, and sometimes I don't have a chance to show you what we are doing.  Today I have a quick video showing how we make one of my personal favorites using the fun Birthdays and Donuts stamp, Glitter MarkersGlitter Gel Pens (NEW to the store) and the Shimmering Bliss Sprays. Here is the card we are making:
Shimmery Birthdays and Donuts
I didn't start out with a plan to make a bundle for the products, then I realized that several of them were new to the store, so I bundled some of the products together and took 15% off. Just in case you want to try some new stuff!  Here is the bundle:
Birthdays and Donuts Bundle
Instead of bundling ALL of the markers and stencils, I excluded some because many of you already have some of them...I just put in the new 2019 colors.
Ready for inspiration?
Here's the video:

Itoh Peony

Hey everyone! Jessie here today sharing some embossing and Brusho card making.

I started by embossing the Itoh Peony stamp onto some Bee Watercolor Paper.

I then wet down the paper, and sprinkled the Sunburst Yellow near the flower centers, Allowing that to dry partially I then wet the paper again and sprinkled on the Alizarin Crimson, then spraying it a little more to help it move around the page. After that, we play the waiting game, and let the watercolours dry.

Once that was dry, I cut down the front panel to fit on the front of the card. Pulling out a Hello die from my stash I cut it out of the coloured pannel and 4 times out of white cardstock to build it up.

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugz

Poppies Mother's Day

Hello friends!
Giovana here today with a Mother's Day card!

Love this Poppy Bouquet image, it's gorgeous and you can use different mediums to add color.
Position your stamp on your MISTI and ink image in JetBlack ink, color image with watercolor pencils, in this case I used Spectrum Aqua Pencils, used my heat embossing gun to speed the dry process, but you can let it sit and air dry.
After that I used a stencil to add the background circles.
Stamp the sentiment from All The Moms Set on a white banner in Red Ink.
Added Nuvo drops on flower center and Blushing Carmine Nuvo Glitter Marker to the petal edges.

You can get these products with a 10% discount using my code TJ10Giovana

Hope you like this project.
Have a wonderful day!

White Diamond Variations

Today I'm creating two different designs using the White Diamonds Background with Shimmering Bliss Resist.  Remember, you can use my discount code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off your order at the Technique Junkies Store.

I stamped with white craft ink on white cardstockm and clear embossed before spraying on the Shimmering Bliss.  The left one combines Chestnut Mare with Golden Olivine ... on the right is Imperial Yellow and Lapis Lazuli.

The Blue/Yellow color combination was perfect for the current Fusion Tropical Fish Card Challenge.

I paired the background with the fun underwater sentiment Octopus Face.  I pulled in the orange from the photo and scattered some sequins to bring in the *bubbles*.  I used a loose variation of the Sketch for some Fusion fun.

For my next card I cut my White Diamonds Background into a circle inspired by the Inskpirational Challenge.  The colors and textures reminded me of the stone trivets in the picture.

I stamped a sentiment from Technique Junkies Better with Coffee in Stazon Spiced Chai Ink and cut with an oval.

The horizontal piece is from a recycled magazine page (it reminded me of the table top) and a scattered some sequins to bring in the feel of the stones.

I hope I've given you some ideas for using this fun background stamp ... it is so versatile with lots of possibilities.

Fiesta like there's no Manana folks!  Hope you are having a great week!  This was a fun card to make because I love sponging, and sponging over this beautiful A Colorful Life Swirl Grid turned out very festive.

The sentiment, called Fiesta, that I added is from the April new release.  Isn't this a fun card?

Dahlias For Easter

Happy Easter to all my fellow Christians, and happy Sunday to the rest of you lovely peeps!  It's my turn to post on the blog today.
I actually made my card for this post about a month ago.  When I made it, I wasn't thinking about the date it was due, and that it happened to be Easter, or I would have made a more Eastery/springy colored card.  But, at least it features flowers.  Dahlias, to be exact...
Technique Junkies stamps:
Dahlias S811
In Full Bloom Sentiments Set of 6 SS105

I stamped the Dahlias onto kraft card stock, and did some relaxing colored with my Polychromos colored pencils.  I brushed dusty concord distress ink along the edges to carry the color out.

I stamped the verse from the In Full Bloom Sentiments set onto vellum, and attached it to the panel by wrapping it around and taping it on the back.

I added the finished panel to another panel cut from the same die, using craft foam for dimension.  Then I added it to an A2 kraft card.  A few moonshine sequins finish the front.

And for the inside:
I hope you have been enjoying our cards for this April release.  I think these stamps were fabulous, and am sure you will find or have found some you like!

Don't forget, use my code, TJ10Lynda, for 10% off your TJ order.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Whatever you celebrate today, whether it just be a wonderful Sunday with family, or a glorious Easter celebration of our risen Lord, I hope you enjoy!

Blessings,

Dahlias

Hey everyone, Jessie here with you all today! For my first ever Technique Junkies post! I am super thrilled to be on this team, and getting to play with so many wonderful stamps!

I am kicking things off with Dahlias (S811). You will learn I have a love of all floral stamps ever!! So in my true fashion I stamped them out and took my watercolours to them.

I tried multiple... and I mean tons of sentiments to put on the front of this little gem, but honestly she felt like one of those cards where all it needs is a message written inside!

I can not wait to show you what I have in store for my next post!

Wreath Love

Hey, Stampin' Peeps! I am back again with another wreath card. I am lovin' Wreath Wishes (SS104) stamp and it's versatility.  It comes with two sentiments, but I used a different sentiment from the Anniversary Sentiments (SS100) set. It fit inside the wreath perfectly!

I stamped the image in a light grey and colored it in using Tombow Dual Brush Markers, then softened it with a water brush and a light shadow. I stamped the sentiment in black, attached the panel to the gray card base, and added a few pearls to finish off the card.

Easy-peasy! I loved coloring this wreath. The flowers are just so darn pretty!

If you are loving these sets as much as I am and you'd like to add them to your collection, you can save 10% on your total order at Technique JunkiesAlso, spend $30 before taxes and you will receive the free I LIKE TO PARTY stamp!!  Simply enter the code "TJ10Ro" at checkout and your discount will be applied.

Til next time,
Keepin' it inky!

LILY OF THE VALLEY SEASON

Hello everyone!!!

I'm pretty partial to the lily of the valley flower.  They have such a sweet fragrence and I adore the tiny bell shaped flowers.  They are also my birth month flower.  So I was thrilled when I saw this stamp "Lily of the Valley Background" from Mitten State Stamps in the April 2019 release collection.

I paired it with a sentiment from "French Sentiments  Set of 4" (another favorite set of mine).

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you found some inspiration.   If you'd like to add these the stamps I've used here to your collection, I can offer a 10% discount.  Just use my personal discount code TJ10CHERI.

Happy Monday!

I had some fun with the Wreath Wishes (set of 3) for today's project. I stamped the wreath, colored with markers and then cut it out to layer on a panel. For a little pop of extra color I sponged the area behind the wreath before I put the wreath on.

Younger than a Spring Chicken!

Good Morning!

Vicki Here with a quick and easy Birthday card for you!!!

What about these sweet hens?

I made this fun card with the Keep Chickens set

I stamped them all in black and added a pop of red here and there for some interest.

I wanted to thank you and Pat for the wonderful opportunity to design for Technique Junkies Stamps

Easter Bunnies...celebrating Spring

Easter is just around the corner! Nothing celebrates the sweet renewal feel of the season like this Spring Bunny.  I love this little guy! I just adore his realistic look, and the tulip he is paired with can be colored in many ways, making it a very versatile stamp.

I colored him with Copic markers, and I chose to make my tulip a strong red to make it really stamp out. After coloring, I cut him out, then placed my bunny over a panel stamped with Happy Easter and matted that to match red of my tulip.

When searching for a background, I thought the Sketched Tulip stamp was just perfect, so I stamped it in green, in alternating directions, using my MISTI to line up the stamp perfectly on the background. I wanted a springtime, sketchy-flower feel, and I think this stamp truly did the trick.

This season, I am fortunate to have booth my boys home for the Easter holiday --  one of the many blessings I have to keep my heart full.

I hope your springtime season is happy, full of blooms and renewal!

Wildly Colorful and Capable

Happy Saturday morning Technique Junkies! This is Janelle here today with a colorful, creative card for spring using a variation of a favorite crafting technique.

Have you looked at the new April release yet? Stop here and see it!
Use this 10% discount code, TJ10Janelle, anytime when shopping at

If you've done a pouring technique, you'll realize this is definitely using less paint medium and the addition of water to create something similar to an original pour look. Take a look at the supplies and instructions then give it a try!

Supplies:

  • Wildly Capable Stamp
  • Poppies, Large Stamp
  • Craft Acrylic Paint (3 colors or more)
  • Water Spray Bottle
  • White and Blue Cardstock
  • Waterproof Ink Pad
  • Spoon or Palette Knife
  • Palette or small bowls
  • Painter's Tape
Directions:
  1. Mix craft paint colors (about a pinto bean size amount) with a teensy bit of water to the consistency of thick syrup.
  2. On white cardstock that has been taped down onto a flat surface, drip three round puddles of one color then dripped right on top the next color, then the third color.
  3. With leftover paint, drip randomly around the main paint puddles.
  4. While still wet spray over the whole thing with water.
  5. Let it dry or speed it up with a heat tool very carefully.
  6. Trim to card size and stamp Poppies with black ink, make sure that it's dry before gluing to card base.
  7. Paint white cardstock with one of the paint colors, dry and then layer behind sentiment stamped on white cardstock with black ink.

Check out more Technique Junkies projects on my blog at Rain Puddles Design. Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great weekend!
