Am I the DRAUNT?

 

When my entire family gets together it is always a party! We live far and wide, so it seems that we are always gathering for a celebration. Draunt is how my nieces and nephews see me and my sisters...what they don't realize is that sometimes we are just giddy to be together. Oh well, I just lean into it (they are all adults).

Today I used the Draunt stamp from the Definitions of Family set along with the Little More You stamp for the front panel; the background uses a variety of stamps from the Wine with Friends Set. And yes, that is me.

Fill up that cart!

 I think this is pretty much true for everyone! I was psyched to find this die cut shopping cart online. To create the groceries, I simply cut apart my weekly ad circular and filled up my cart! This was a really fun card to make. It's appropriate for me, too - I can never leave with just one or two items in my cart. Now I have to head off to Costco to get some coffee later today - hopefully that "coffee" won't cost me $100!

Definition of a Mom

 Hey TJ Crafty Friends - 

Today, I’m thrilled to share the fun Definition of Family stamp set! 💌✨ I’ve combined it with the gorgeous In Every Woman and Summer Bouquet stamp sets, and the versatile City Windows stencil to create something truly special.

First, I stamped the elegant In Every Woman and the heartfelt mom definition from the Definition of Family set, then masked them off with the backing from each red rubber stamp. Next, I brought the City Windows stencil to life using vibrant lagoon ink and outlined the stencil shapes with a black journaling pen. After crafting the base, I cut out the image with an arched die.

I stamped the delightful Summer Bouquet stamp, fussy-cut a few beautiful flowers and leaves, and colored them with alcohol markers. For that extra pop, I raised two of the flowers to add depth and dimension. The result is a card that’s not only stunning but celebrates the essence of family in a truly unique way. 🌸👩‍👧‍👦 There’s no better way to honor the special women in our lives than with this delightful mom definition! 🌟💖

Off on an Adventure

Deb here with a card to celebrate our love of the great outdoors.  One of the latest releases from Technique Junkies is the Adventure stamp . It's a fun, grunge-styled banner that can be used for all types of cards !! I made several to send to some travel-loving friends. 

• I used The Great Outdoors paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co. that I have been hoarding since 2019 !!  I chose background papers and also a sheet of journal cards .
• The background paper  was adhered to Kraft card bases. 
• I popped up the journal cards in the center of the background papers with foam tabs. 
• The Adventure banner was stamped with Love Letter and Danube Blue Memento Dew Drop inks and then fussy-cut. 
• I adhered the Adventure banner onto the left upper side of each of the journal cards.

Flamazing

 Hi Junkies (Chris Here! )

It seems like each summer an a new animal becomes trendy.   We've done sloths, penguins, hedgehogs, and this year it seems to be the flamingo.   Don't get me wrong, I love it.  I love seeing all the new products and creations.  It is like a celebration of that animal.  As far as I'm concerned let's make it official.  🦩🦩🦩. 

Technique Junkies is not to miss out on a trend and they have released some Flamazing Flamingo stamps of their own.   I love the sentiment because it could be used for anything.  It could be a birthday or just a general greeting on its down.  It is so versatile and I think it will get a workout in my craft room this season.  

To create the backgrounds I used Nuvo Pigment Powder.   This powder is highly pigmented powder that reacts with water.   There is a couple of ways you can use this powder, but my favorite is to sprinkle just a tiny (I stress tiny) bit of powder onto watercolor paper.  Then spray the paper with water.  You can move the paper around to move the pigment on the paper.   It isn't an exact science... but I love that you can an organic background instead of a controlled piece.     I used Spellbinders Flamingo die on the blue piece and the stamped the Flamingos on the pink.   I love them both.
