For my card, I stamped the background onto watercolor paper with gold ColorBox ink, then added a gold panel I had created using an embossing plate from We Are Memory Keepers.
I embossed the bird from the Sweet Fairy Tales set, and watercolored her.  I embossed the verse from the same set, and cut it with stitched stitched rectangles dies from my stash, then created an ombre brushed background.  Added these to the card, tied a gold fiber cord around to complete the look, and added to a pink textured A2 card.

Fairy Tale Life

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It's pretty gloomy in my neck of the woods (Michigan), but that doesn't mean weddings are not on my mind. Thought I'd make a wedding card today using the new release, Fairy Tale Flowers (Set of 5).

I love white and silver cards for weddings and anniversaries. And this one was fast and easy! An embossed panel was attached to my card base using foam tape. I added some silver strands, held in place with tape. I then stamped, embossed and die cut the sentiment and mounted it to the card, again using foam tape. A few sequins and voila!

How simple is that! Quick, easy, elegant! And in case you're wondering about the other stamps in this set, here is a glimpse!

I love the stamps from this new release and one of my absolute favorites is "Poppy Bouquet".   There are so many ways to use it. You can color this image, doodle on it, or stamp it over a background created with Ken Oliver pigment powders.  The list is endless.  I colored my image on kraft with my Chameleon Colortone Pencils.  The sentiment is "Life is Beautiful" which was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Hi! Jeanne here today! 

To make my background I started with a light blue piece of cardstock and stamped Frenchified Clouds  my MISTI in light blue ink. I then added some white craft paint to the clouds. Once the paint was completely dry I stamped a cute chick from Party Chicks (set of 12) and the Soul to Dance sentiment in black. I stamped an additional chick and colored with  Studio 71 markers and made the dress and hat sparkly with a Nuvo Glitter marker. I cut the chick out (everything but the legs) and glued it to my card.

My first card uses Sweet Fairy Tale Bundle.
I used Color Burst (Caribbean Brights)to create a watercolory background and then stamped Fairy Tale Flowers over it using my MISTI. I left the stamp in the MISTI and  colored the flowers with Studio 71 markers. Once I was done I coloring I put my panel back into the MISTI and restamped for a nice clean outline.

My next card uses Changing Things. 

To make this one layer card I stamped the image with my MISTI and then added a few colored 

details with  Studio 71 markers and gold details with a Nuvo Glitter marker.

Simple and Quick Card Ideas!

Hello, folks and happy last day of March! I'm hoping that this post finds you fortunate in creative places. I've got two cards to share, one with the adorable Birthday Cat stamp and another with Big Butterfly Collage background stamp.

I've grown fond of simple cards and Birthday Cat (shown above) makes it easy. Stamped in the corner with black ink safe for alcohol markers and just a few colors it took no time to complete. A repeated sentiment (from Simple Sentiments 1b Stamp Set) in complementary ink colors to the party hat was lined up using a stamp positioner, and the whole card was finished with a couple of color cardstocks to frame the white space.

I had one more inspiration with Big Butterfly Collage from the March release, and it took longer figuring out ink and watercolors than actually making the card. Background stamps make quick cards!

The background was inked in layers with yellow and green distress ink, then framed with two shades of blue distress oxide inks. A butterfly was colored directly on the stamp with watercolor markers and then stamped on watercolor paper. Once dry it was cut out and popped up on the background image.  Adding a holiday sentiment for any occasion can be added with Simple Sentiments 1b Stamp Set.

TJ Inkspirations: Creating Shadows with Nuvo Mousse

I realize that I have been using the Nuvo Mousse and Paste products quite a bit in videos recently, and I promise you that I will go back to using other things again next week.  I have just been very inspired by the ideas rolling around my little pea brain to use these products, and I cannot help but share! Today's video shows you a quick way to use the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse to create a drop shadow with a stencil. It is so easy! Before we get to the video, I just wanted to remind you that we will be releasing our April New Release stamps on Sunday, April 1st.  I know that happens to fall on Easter...but I hope you will stop by and take a look at what we have in store for you - and remember that the stamps will still be there after Easter day!
