Happy New Year!

Yes, I do know it's not New Years yet.  But I couldn't resist going with that theme for this fabulous champagne glasses stamp from Technique Junkies November release.
The stamp is called Champagne Toast!  It is perfect for those New Years cards, but also for any celebratory occasion!
The Happy New Year is from the Gifts of Christmas Set of 5 set.  I have been getting a lot of use from that amazing set with the five lovely scripted verses.

On creamy shimmer card stock, I gold embossed Champagne Toast.  I also embossed the verse, and cut around it and popped it up with foam tape on the front.  I layered the panel onto a gold shimmery A2 card base.

Some pearl swirls from my stash add just the right touch of elegance to this card, don't you think?  And some champagne colored gems at the glasses stems really finish it off.

Oh, and I brushed some Mixed Metals Shimmering Bliss inside the glasses for the champagne!

...and to All A Good Night!

All of Santa's elves are busily getting ready for Christmas at my house...including making a bunch of Christmas cards! This one happens to be one of my favorites (right now, lol). The three stamps used here go perfectly well together.

Even though it was done on a white cardstock background, it still highlights Santa at night.

I started out with a piece of white CS and, using my MISTI, positioned and stamped the SANTA IN MOONLIGHT (SD811) using Versamark. I then positioned and stamped the FIR FOREST (S806) across the lower section of the CS. Using black embossing powder, I heat embossed both images.

Then I pulled out some Memento Ink Pads in Dandelion, Cantaloupe and Nautical Blue. Using a sponge dauber, I added color to the moon with the light colors. I cut out a circle mask for the moon and sponged on the blue, adding just a little bit on the moon to tone it down and give it a more ethereal look.

With a white Jelly Roll Pen, I added snow to the trees and a little highlight around Santa's sleigh. I watered down a little white acrylic paint and flicked "snow" across the panel with a toothbrush. I then sprayed the entire panel with IRIDESCENT SHIMMERING BLISS. I unscrewed the bottle and dribbled a few larger dots of the spray creating some shiny snowfall. I attached the panel to a black A2 card base.

On a black piece of CS, I stamped and embossed in white the GOOD NIGHT (SDX105) sentiment. I trimmed the piece down and attached it to the card with some foam tape.

I really like how great the paint and toothbrush flicks complement the Shimmering Bliss drips. The snow looks so dimensional.

CHRISTMAS CACTUS

Hi Junkies!

I'm here today showing off a fun stamp in two ways, to add some variety in your card making using the same stamp.

If you love this stamp, "Christmas Cactus"  you'll love all the stamps in the Technique Junkies Store and if you'd like to purchase any, please use my discount code (TJ10CHERI) so you can get a 10% discount.

What a lovely stamp this is.  It's from the Mitten State Stamp Collection and makes a dramatic image for a Christmas card.  I love Christmas Cactus plants.  They live forever and are so easy to care for.
I water colored this on 140# watercolor paper using Distress Inks.  It took no time at all after stamping it with Archival ink "Fern Green".  As a final touch of dimension and sparkle I added a layer of Shimmering Bliss Gold Topper over the panel before mounting the layers.
Now this:

How cool is this contrast?  Same stamp...I stamped it in white pigment ink on a medium gray card stock panel.  I used a white PrismaColor pencil to add the light areas.  A dark gray colored pencil was used to outline and give depth to the image.  I have a 2 inch paint brush that I use for soft backgrounds and I used it to soften the image again with the white pigment ink.

To add sparkle, I bordered the image with my Nuvo Glitter Pen and then took the same paint brush I used as described above, and added Delicata silver ink in the same manner I added the white pigment ink in the background.

I hope you found some inspiration here today.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget you have my 10% discount on all TJ Stamps, Nuvo Glitter Pens (and products) and Shimmering Bliss Sprays, if you'd like to use it.

Oh Christmas Tag

The current Technique Junkies Challenge is to make a Christmas Tag.   I love Christmas Tags ... and I love turning them into cards.  Remember, you can use my Discount Code TJ10Stephanie at Check-Out for 10% off you Technique Junkies order.

I started with a Kraft Tag, the A Colorful Life Rough Edge Circlezz Stencil, and my MISTI.

I  love using my MISTI for stenciling ... everything stays where I want it to and clean-up on my MISTI mousepad is super-easy.

I applied some temporary adhesive to the tag to hold it in place, since I specifically wanted to position it where one of the circles was over the circle at the top of the tag.

I combined Evergreen Bough and Mowed Grass Distress Inks to create my tag background using my favorite Make-Up Brush (it seriously change my ink-blending life).

Once I finished my tag, I stamped A Very Merry Christmas on another Kraft Tag (it was actually the back side of the first tag I tried to stencil with Distress Oxide Ink that turned out paler than I wanted ... so I recycled).

Once I put my tag together, I realized I had managed to cover-up most of my stenciling, so I used the same inks and Rough Edge Circlezz Stencil and a lighter Kraft Cardstock to create my background.

I love that with my MISTI, I can peek as I go along to see that I'm getting the variation in color that I was hoping to achieve.

I assembled my tag/card using flowers from Little Birdie and a coordinating card base.

Remember, if you join the Technique Junkies Holiday Tag Challenge you have a chance to win a $25.00  Gift Certificate to the Technque Junkies Store.

Window Pines

I used two  Technique Junkies stamps to create this card.  I used Fir Forest and Merry Christmas 2 which were stamped on a panel  and placed behind  die cut window.  The sky was sponged on it first.  The top layer is a panel dry embossed with a  snowflake embossing folder.   White pearls were added to the center of some of the snowflakes.  Dazzle Simmering Bliss spray was added to the top layer.

The words Merry Christmas were stamped with black Versafine ink and heat embossed  with detail black embossing powder.

The bottom of this card is an A2 sized dark moss green piece of card stock.   The main part of the card is 4 inches by 11 1/4 inches.  It is scored in half and then after the card is ready to mount, it is adhered to the green card stock.  The inside greeting is stamped on the inside of the folded white card stock.

You can use TJ10Judy to get 10% off of EVERYTHING IN YOUR SHOPPING CART through the end of November!!  This is a great gift from Pat Huntoon!  So start shopping.

Have a wonderful day!! And  get inky!!

Downton Mugshot

Happy Saturday Junkies!
It's Ceal. Here to share a card using this fabulous stamp from our November release, Downton Girl Kitty.  This stamp reminded me of a mug shot so I had to create a snarky card with it :)
Remember  you can save 10% off on your entire order and even the new releases during the month of November by using my code TJ10Ceal just not on clearance.

To create my card it was super easy. I started with a white top folding card base and a photo frame cut out in Lemon Lime Twist.
I stamped the Downton Girl Kitty in the middle of the card base and then placed the frame over her. I added the greeting Left Unsupervised to finish the card.

I love shaker cards, and I am always looking for fun things to fill them with.  Today I have a fun tutorial for you that uses die cut numbers as the filler. To make them even more fun, the numbers are colored with
Shimmering Bliss Sprays.

Here is the card made with the video:

Carved Relief Cards

Greetings, peeps!

Lynda Joy here with a couple of cards using Technique Junkies lovely background stamp CARVED RELIEF.

Joyeux Noel....
I also used the Joyeux Noel stamp for the verse.

I embossed the CARVED RELIEF stamp with red embossing powder onto white card stock.  The Joyeux Noel was embossed in white onto red card stock.  I layered them together on an A2 card, with a red ribbon and buckle from my stash, and some Liquid Pearls dots.

Family and Friends.....
I stamped the CARVED RELIEF onto vellum and added it to the bottom of a red A2 card.  On the top portion of the card, I white embossed the Family and Friends verse from the Gifts of Christmas Set of 5 set.

A red ribbon and bow, and some white Liquid Pearl dots add the accents.

I hope you are inspired by my cards today, and have enjoyed the 30 Days of Christmas, and the November release stamps!

HOLLY JOLLY SPOTLIGHT CARD

Oh, these Christmas stamps! I have been having so much fun creating cards with them. And I am excited to share this spotlight card with you today. It's Toodle Noodle Ro with you today and this has to be one of my favorite sets for creating holiday cards. There are so many possibilities using the Christmas Whimsy Background Stamp (S814).  Take a look!

These spotlight cards are super easy to create. I decided to incorporate part of the image as part of the sentiment. This is how it all came together...

I stamped the background stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of white CS, then trimmed it down. I lightly traced a circle in pencil where I wanted to the highlighted area to be. Inside the circle, I colored all the images in marker, then added a background with a colored pencil.

The matting panel was cut and punched using a decorative corner punch. I placed the stamped panel into the "frame", then attached that to my A2 card base.

I added some Nuvo Glimmer Dots around the perimeter of the colored area, then added some computer generated text with some foam adhesive tape.

There is also a great companion stamp to this set which features the tall snowman in a larger size called Snowman Whimsy (SD880).  As a matter of fact, there are a TON of Christmas stamps available. There are sure to be some that fall in love with, as I have with this set.

AND...you can even save a little dough by using my very special code when you check out.

Treat yourself to a little fun! Happy Holidays!

30 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS - DAY 30

Hello Junkies!!!!

Can you believe it!  We have reached the end of our 30 Days of Christmas event. This is the last day and your final opportunity to grab any or all of the Technique Junkies Christmas Stamps for 20% off (they are already discounted...no code needed).  PLUS, if you add my personal discount code (TJ10CHERI) to your purchase, an additional 10% will come off your purchase of all TJ stamps in your cart.  That's a full 30% off TJ Christmas Stamps and 10% off all other stamps.

Here's a super simple and easy card to make for the holidays...

The one stamp I used for this card is "Vintage Botanical Holly".  You need to have a MISTI for this in order to stamp repeatedly in the same spot.

Before stamping the holly image, I masked off the word "Holly" with a piece of scotch tape.  I then inked the rest of the image in a light blue dye ink, removed the scotch tape and stamped it onto my white card stock.

I repeated this step until I was satisfied with the coverage I had of the holly.  I used a finger dauber to stamp a darker blue dye ink inside areas of the leaves.

I completely cleaned the stamp and then using a red ink, I stamped the word. Again, using a finger dauber, I used a darker red to ink the word and moved the card on the MISTI, just a tiny bit and got a "shadow" effect.

A warm gray Copic marker was used to create the shadow around the image.  I next outlined the holly branch with my white gel pen.  For a final touch, I sprayed the panel with Shimmering Bliss Spray Iridescent Topper (get the sprays for 10% off using my discount code).  I LOVE these sprays!!!!

Once the panel was dry I die cut it, mounted onto a neutral card stock background then onto a card base.  For a final touch, I added red berries with a Viva Pearl Pen.

I hope you found some inspiration here today and throughout the 30 Days of Christmas.  Don't forget to grab the Christmas stamps for 20% off and add an additional 10% off the Christmas stamps and other stamps and products from Technique Junkies Stamps using my personal discount code.

30 days of Christmas-Day 28

Good Morning!!

Hope you've enjoyed all of the inspiration from the TJ Design Team!!!

There have been some gorgeous samples !!!

Although the Feature is winding down, I have one more Card to share

Christmas Beetle Van!!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this image by Jan Tinklenberg
It's just so darned cute!!!!

I wanted to make a bit of a dimensional card and I had an idea to set it on a spring so it would wiggle just a little bit!!! Remember that song? Wiggle it, just a little bit? Was that the 80's?

Well this little bug is just a rockin'

I coloured the image with Prism Pencils for a softer look.

To create my scene, I  made a frame with my Frame Punch Board
Then, I cut some little tree from the  Sizzix Tim Holtz Christmas car set.
They looked a little bland, so I added some Nuvo Drops in White
I created the Road Way with the Lane Die from IO Stamps. I created the background with a Star Panel Die (Source unknown) and lastly added some Polar Ice Flower Soft for some fluffy goodness.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on the red cardstock, and VOILA, I have a fun Christmas Creation.

Hope you enjoyed my card

Feel free to use my coupon code to pick up a few goodies for yourself!
