Delicate Bouquet

To create my card I first heat embossed the Delicate Bouquet stamp using black embossing powder onto a piece of Hammermill Premium Color Copy Cover paper (80 lbs.) I then used foam domed blending tools to ink blend a rainbow background using Catherine Poolers inks (Cummerbund, Chiffon, Catching Rays and Pucker up). I framed it using a die from my stash cut with pink pearlescent card stock. I then cut out the sentiment using a die from my stash. I adhered everything onto a black A2 card base.

Camo Soldier

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today.  The soldiers in the armed forces are on my mind today, and this new stamp set from Technique Junkies, Thank You For Your Service, is perfect for creating cards for them.  I stamped the soldier with a kraft ink right onto some kraft cardstock, and then I stamped the sentiment with a black ink on top of the stamped soldier.  

The background was created by using the Layered Camouflage stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.  I used a combination of kraft, olive green, and black inks with the three stencils to create that camo background.

I cut an oval out of cardstock and placed

the Cat Lady in behind after I coloured her

splattered a bit of paint (of course masked the image)

Layered the saying which has some raffia 

layered behind.

Just remember - we are ALL PURRFECT in our own way.

One Great Dude

Hello, friends!

I'm here today with two fun cards that I made, using a great new stamp set, Stud Muffins, from the May Release. This set has both images and 3 fun sentiments!

Here's my first card:

Is this fun, or what?

The image was colored with Copics and fussy cut. 

The 'frame' is a die cut, and the sentiment was stamped, matted, and popped up onto the card front.

I think I'll go back and gloss up his eyeglasses before this one gets mailed - forgot to do that!

And here's card number two:

For this card, the image was stamped onto a white focal panel - face, arms and shoes were colored with Copic markers. I then stamped again onto patterned paper and the shirt and pants were fussy cut and adhered over top of the image. Using an Ink Blending Brush and some Distress Oxide Ink, I stenciled a background, using A Colorful Life Designs Diamond Fade Stencil. The focal panel was adhered to a rust colored card base.

Magnolia Birthday!

 

Magnolia Branch Border makes a beautiful birthday card.   I used a verse from Inside Out: Young at Heart.  I first colored the magnolia branch with Copic Makers, and then inked the verse with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with detail clear powder.  I used blending brushes and the Cloud Edger stencil for the sky.  Te stencil is from A Colorful Life Designs. It is framed with background paper and deep pink card stock on pale pink card stock for the base card.

Pink Magnolia Frame

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing this sweet floral card that I created with stamps from Technique Junkies.  Have you seen the new Magnolia Branch Border stamp?  It's beautiful! 

For this card, I started by lightly brushing some pink ink all around the edges of some white cardstock with a Colorful Blending Brush.  Then I inked up the Magnolia Branch Border with the same pink ink, and I just stamped the blossoms around the edge of the white cardstock.  The sentiment, from the In Full Bloom set, was stamped with the same pink ink and then die cut with an oval die.  I cut the fancy oval frame from a pink cardstock and glued the sentiment onto that, and then I added a sweet little pink organza bow.

Monochromatic Magnolia

 Our lovely Magnolia Branch Border is a large stamp, but it extra special when used with monochromatic ink. Here is was randomly stamped and paired with the Get Well Soon stamp for an extra-pretty result.

One Great Dude but is he still Wrong?

Good day! Pam here with your Saturday dose of Technique Junkies goodness!

My first creation was done using Stud Muffins (set of 5). I stamped the image on parchment card stock in black and then paper pieced his outfit. I added some T.H. washi tape and the sentiment is on dimensionals. The mat is done in blue to match his pants and the base is white.

For my second card, I used a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop called Tree Paradise and the sentiment is new this month called No Woman to Hear. To hold the stencil down, I used Pixie spray which you can purchase from TJ. It is THE BEST STUFF. Using a variety of inks, I sponged the color on and then did the same for the sentiment.

I would have to say that the man IS still wrong!!!! Haha!!!

I created this mixed media card with Father's Day in mind.

I started with some watercolor paper and stamped with a dark brown ink.  I then used inks to watercolor the image.  I ran it through an embossing folder then I cut it out with a stitched die from my stash and then grunged it up with some Distress Ink.

I made the mat layer with another embossed panel that was colored with the Distress ink and then coated with Distress Glaze to get a leather look.

I stamped the inside of the card base with the sentiment then let it dry.

I glued them together then added some twine and popped them up on a light blue card base.  I added the home made lure and we were done!

Father and Daughter | Because I'm your Dad

 To create my card, I used Versafine Clair Acorn ink to stamp the Because I'm Your Dad background stamp on a piece of off white/ivory paper. I used a stitched rectangle die to trim the stamped background panel to an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5"). Next I used Copic markers to color the Father and Daughter stamp and I fussy cut the image. I used a yellow Copic Marker to color a die cut piece of vellum. I used liquid glue to adhere the vellum to the background panel. Then I glued the Father and Daughter to the Vellum.  I plan to give this card to my dad for Father's Day.

  Hello Junkies!

I love to make cards that make people laugh.  I'm always on the lookout for silly stamps.  Technique Junkies has a bunch of them.  This one was part of the May release.
